Getting a letter from the IRS, expecting bad news only to find out they checked your return and you overpaid by $1400.00 dollars, enclosed is your check. It happened to me.

Although I will take great sex that is followed by a surf and turf meal and a cold beer.

How long ago did you get the money? I've seen the IRS screw up and ask for their money back.

How long ago did you get the money? I've seen the IRS screw up and ask for their money back.


This April will be three years. When I first retired my return was complicated, at least complicated for me. I had to write them a check for 8k then I got the letter from them and my check.
