This article titled, "Be careful wishing for the Fed's end," discusses some of the ideas be proposed for a worst case senerio. One idea illustrated going back to a gold standard. Another idea is to have private banks to issue money — perhaps bearing the likeness of Jamie Dimon and the seal of his bank, JPMorgan Chase. Another idea is to have the dollar backed by Euros, pound, Yen, or renminbi. All of this kind of talk is making me very uncomfortable.
