This is really funny

An elevator without buttons

It's State-Of-The-Art technology.

HA!
Our elevators have no floor buttons.

You punch in your floor number on an outside pad as you are entering the building. It will then give you an assigned elevator to ride, that will stop at your floor.

Odd. What do you do if you need to get to a different floor once inside?Go back outside?

Yep.
That seems like a great idea. Is it a time saver?

Poor old DonDiego prefers the Good Old Days when a professional elevator operator transported one to the floor of his choice, . . . and positioned the height of the elevator floor above/below the building floor dependent upon how much he liked one.
It would be nice to not have to stop at everyone else's floor before yours.

Especially at quitting time. Especially if in a hurry, etc.

And if someone waiting for the elevator pressed the button more than once, the operator took great pleasure in passing that floor by several times.
