This weekend

Hey trying to do my share to bring this board and our favorite city back up to speed.
My wife and I are coming to town friday and staying 9 nights at the southpoint. Any good rooms to try the $20 DOLLAR TRICK for. What about some good happenings around town.

We will be eating at some of our favorites:

Isla at TI
In & Out burger
Border Grill at Mandalay Bay
Margarita brunch @ Palms (while checking out the eye candy by the pool) nothing beats sunday morning margaritas served by Jesus

Looking to go see Rod Stewart and maybe a few comedy shows.

Just ask for an upgrade, no $20 needed. Smile real big!

Every room I've stayed in at the South Point was nice. If you have a view or elevator proximity preference, just ask at check in. If your stay was shorter, an upgrade to a suite might be available just for asking, but that place always has stuff going on so that kind of upgrade on a 9-day stay wouldn't likely be available no matter how much you might try to tip at the front desk.

Have fun! The SP is one of my favorite places to stay in Vegas.

As a frequent SP visitor I can assure you your upgrade will at best be to a "higher" (view) room. Otherwise save your $20 . . . all their rooms are virtually identical.
Don't expect a suite (unless you ARE a 'roller')... they stay pretty busy all the time.
Be sure to try ALL the restaurants at SP. They are all very good value.
