I think judge judy should be the adjudicator in this case. Bitch slap this guy err girl or whatever it it is back to its' cell. What kills me is the state has been picking up the tab for hormones and 'feminine wear' since mid 2000. I don'tknow what the tab is for hormone treatments are but i'm sure it's not cheap. If "it" wins this case,to me its' just further eveidence of how F'd up this country is. I can't get disability but this person in jail is possibly getting a sex change on the taxpayers dime?

While I'm at it,I was talking with another guy at dialisys, youngish guy,maybe 40ish,tad younger than me and we're talking about getting a transplant. In his case, medicare will pay for the operation, but not for the subsequent drug costs(which aren't cheap) so they won't put him on the waiting list!
How screwed up is that? AHHHHHHHH the good ole USA,can get hormone treatment while in jail,but a young guy in need of a kidney cant get one because govt won't pick up the tab for the meds.

DILLWYN, Va. - A transgender Virginia inmate is suing the state to get a sex change operation, saying she will continue to try to castrate herself unless she gets the surgery.

Ophelia De'lonta filed a federal lawsuit Friday claiming the state has failed to provide adequate medical care because it won't give her the operation. She says the surgery is needed to treat her gender identity disorder, a mental illness in which people believe they were born the wrong gender.

If she wins, De'lonta would be the nation's first inmate to receive a state-funded sex change operation. Similar lawsuits have failed in a handful of other states, and some lawmakers are trying to ban the use of taxpayer money for the operations.

De'lonta is serving more than 70 years for robbery, weapons and other charges.

"It" can carry out "It's" threat for all I care.

And yet so many Americans claim our healthcare is better than Canada's.

Let HIM cut them off and bleed to death. Then taxpayers won't have to pay to keep HIM in prison.

Now let's look at what REALLY might be going on here... A GUY locked up for 70 years wants to comingle with the sexy jailed women, and the only way to do it is to get a sex change operation and then he/she/it can have his own opposite/same-as/almost-like live in lover in the same cell.

Now, if you were facing 70 years behind bars, it's not a bad option.
