Thoughts and Prayers again please

As many of you know his year has been pretty hard on my family. I am grateful to the thoughts and prayers so far , many thanks. I am asking again for you help. In the last three weeks we have had alot of stuff, to my FIL health failing rapidly, to other family matters I cannot discuss.
To now my dog is ill, and we are considering the hard decision. We have had her since a puppy of 8 weeks in 1996. When our other dog passed at 17 years old, she refused to let another in, claiming her place and her place only. Her and I have been inseperable between DH's deployments and duty station changes. She has heart failure, and at 3 weeks shy of 15 there is nothing they can do for her.

My FIL is ill, he is a WWII vet and a wonderful man. He is like a second father to me. He is now on O2 and been in the hospital 3 times in the last month and a half. We were told his time is short also. I hope they are wrong.

My side of the family has had some very bad luck as of late. I cannot discuss.

Me I still am fearful of layoff like I was last year from my old hospital, when they started calling RNs in stating," Oh so sorry...........". I am hoping my new employer does not pull anything.

I was looking to our upcoming Vegas trip the first time since 2008, now I am wondering if we'll get to even go and if we do, would it be "right".
Hug and thanks for listening.

Medic- I hope things turn around in a good way for you very soon. I'm sure it is very difficult to be going through so many different things at one time. Whatever all of the issues are good luck and deal with each thing one at a time. Don't let it all come at you at once... you will get through it...just believe. I hope you do get to come to Vegas to blow off some steam and regroup.

Take care,

Lion
Medic,

I am so sorry to hear about everything going on with your family and your dog. You seem like a sweet lady that I hope that things get better for you and your family and real soon.

Sending a hug and prayer to you my dear.

You sure have had more than your fair share of negative events in such a short time.My prayers are with you.

Thank you all so much, we have a apointment with the vet. Your kind words are greatly appriciated.
Thoughts and prayers are going your way.
Medic, Dayton, Ohio IS hiring experienced medical professionals. (if that helps)

Remember, we all have to make the big trip sometime. Be there for your FIL and remember all of the good times.
Thank you all so much, we had to go tonight and let our beloved Sheba go after close to 15 years. Next month she would have been 15.
Our hearts are broken, Ill try to post a picture if I can get one up somewhere.

FIL is still not great, we found out we need to replace our roof now, and I feel lost.
Medic,

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of dog. Some people may find it hard to believe but dogs really become like a family member. Back in 1995 we bought two adorable female pomeranians. We named them Sugar and Spice.

Spice unfortuately passed away in 2007 and I cried for days. I loved that dog. Sugar is still going and she has her good and bad days and I know that I will be devasted when she finally passes.

Hang in their Medic. We will all pray for you.

So sorry about the rough year you're having, but things will get better, I'm sure of it. I know it's hard to say goodbye to a pet that is, in fact, part of the family, but it sounds like it was time. I'll keep your FIL--and you-- in my prayers. Sounds to me like a trip to Vegas would be really good for you. It would give you a chance to do something to revive your soul and give you new energy to meet the battles head-on. Don't let self-imposed guilt keep you from doing something for yourself. Take care. k
