Good guy, Great effort, but in the NFL u run too much u get hurt, Maybe he can work on that arm. It is his 1st yr.

Drmilled use the ignore button. it really helps

Actually, it is his second year but first as a regular starter.

I'm sorry for the double post.

If Tebow has done anything, he has somehow motivated Denver's defense. Tebow is horrible until other teams have to exercise some kind of prevent defense. Detroit totally tore Denver apart. I'm not sold on Tebow.
It's no secret that Elway has been scouting quarterbacks at college games. Clearly, the Broncos don't see Tebow as a long-term prospect.

He rushed 22 times against San Diego. That's about 20 too many for any NFL QB, no matter how tough he is. Rushing QBs take too much pounding to remain effective at their position. It's hard to throw TDs when you're nursing broken ribs (just ask Michael Vick).

I like his winning spirit, but I don't think he's got the right stuff for the NFL - his almost-side-arm delivery will never be accurate. Time will tell.
Now that the Bears have been Tebowed what chance do the Broncos have against the mighty Patriots?

I thought it was petty of Urlacher to call Tebow a great running back after getting lit up for 190 yards in the 4th Quarter. Take your loss like a man Brian even if your Coach is to blame.

He could have blamed his own running back for stopping the clock.

I think the Patriot's defense players are licking their chops in anticipation of Tebow running the ball.

It might very well be his last game of the season

Rick
I am huge Gators fan. Yes I am suffering this year. For me the jury is still out on Tebow. Having known people that know Tebow and went to school with him, love him or hate him, he is sincere in his beliefs and lifestyle. I highly doubt you will find a skeleton in his closet.

When he was backing up Chris Leak my Seminole buddies told me repeatedly wait until next year when Timmy is your starter. Guess what he went on to win the Heisman and another championship. How he will fare in the NFL is anyones guess but we all have to admit it has been fun to watch.

BTW Trent Dilfer won a Super bowl ring because of his defense and the Bucs won a Super bowl the year Sapp told the offense "just get us 17 points".

I will say this Tebow thing reminds me of George Blanda. Blanda was a QB and a place kicker for the Raiders. He was one of the last straight on kickers. I actually remember him playing.

Quoted from Wiki

In 1970, Blanda was released during the exhibition season, but bounced back to establish his 21st professional season. That season (1970) Blanda, at age 43, had a remarkable five-game run. Against the Steelers, Blanda threw for three touchdowns in relief of an injured Daryle Lamonica. One week later, his 48-yard field goal with three seconds remaining salvaged a 17–17 tie with the Kansas City Chiefs. On November 8, Blanda once again came off the bench to throw for a touchdown pass to tie the Cleveland Browns with 1:34 remaining, then kicked a 53-yard field goal with 0:03 left for the 23–20 win. Immediately after the winning field goal, Raiders radio announcer Bill King excitedly declared, "George Blanda has just been elected King of the World!"[3] In the team's next game, Blanda replaced Lamonica in the fourth quarter and connected with Fred Biletnikoff on a touchdown pass with 2:28 left in the game to defeat the Denver Broncos, 24–19. The streak concluded one week later when Blanda's 16-yard field goal in the closing seconds defeated the San Diego Chargers, 20–17.

In the AFC title game against the Baltimore Colts, Blanda again relieved an injured Lamonica, completing 17 of 32 passes for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns while also kicking a 48-yard field goal and two extra points, keeping the Raiders in the game until the final quarter, when he was intercepted twice. Aged 43, he became the oldest quarterback ever to play in a championship game, and was one of the few remaining straight-ahead kickers in the NFL.

Blanda's achievements resulted in his winning the Bert Bell Award. Chiefs' owner Lamar Hunt said, "Why, this George Blanda is as good as his father, who used to play for Houston." Although he never again played a major role at quarterback, Blanda would serve as the Raiders' kicker for five more seasons.

He played in his last game at Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium on January 4, 1976, at age 48, in the 1975 AFC Championship Game, where he kicked a 41-yard field goal and made one extra point as the Raiders lost to the Steelers 16-10.

Blanda vs Lamonica illustrates a point that remains relevant. Blanda was a gutsy, conventional QB, while Lamonica was a gambler. A team that prepared for one (although defense was not so complicated back then) could be caught if the other came in late in the game.

Defending against a QB's style is always relevant. Similar thing happened last week with the Steelers after Big Ben went down. When he came back, he had to play differently, and the Browns defense, given a rare opportunity, continued to play him as if he could still move well and throw sharply. The safeties never got off their backpedals, even on running plays, effectively making it 9 guys vs. 11 on every play. On the other side, the Steelers were playing tight and guys were getting open across the middle and long, but of course McCoy can't throw long or across the middle on a good day, much less after getting mugged. The guy who can throw long was effective briefly, but the hammerhead coach had McCoy spit on his concussion and go back in, effectively conceding the game.

Please pardon my rant. The relevant point is that sometimes Tebow runs a lot more than he does at other times. Teams facing him need to be able to adjust.

Urlacher should blame Paris Hilton. He hasn't been the same since banging that skank whore !

My money will be on the Patriots this week!

P.S... Prevent defenses SUCK ASS !!

They don't prevent shit!! You can't use a prevent defense against the Broncos!!
