I agree. I think the Patroits blow them out. Pats-45 Broncos-10.

I think the Pats crush the Broncos. But, I'm almost always wrong about my football picks.
The Boston sports radio stations talk about the Pats history of losing in Denver.

Some say it's the high altitude.

The odds for this upcoming game started with the Pats giving 7 points to the Broncos in Denver. The number has dropped to 6 points. That means there is a lot of money being bet on the Broncos. Don't be surprised if the score is close. The thing I really enjoy is that the Broncos and Tebow have left Mr. Know-It-All, Steven A Smith, speechless. Some people thought that rendering him speechless was impossible. This game will be a must-see for many.

I like SASA when he argues with that Skip on ESPN all the time. It's funny as hell. Most of the time SAS is right and and get Skip to take the contrarian opinion just because Skip hates SAS.

Steven A. Smith has a radio program on ESPN radio from L.A. in the evenings. I like him a lot. He and Skip could take their act on the road though.
Pats typically don't play up to their abilities when they play Denver in Denver. If they can score 17 points it maybe enough to win. I don't think it will be a blowout. I would probably be inclined to take the Pats if the spread is under 7 however.
The spread is now 6. Logic would say to take the Pats and lay the 6 and don't look back. That being said, the NFL has the "logic of illogic". If Denver is within 10 points with 6 or 7 minutes in the 4th quarter, then watch out.
The spread has now jumped 3 points to 9. The Pats are favored by nine which means there is a lot of money bet on them - moving a line 3 points is almost unheard of. Either something "funny" is going on or there are a lot of people who just hate money. Don't be surprised if the Broncos win. All questions will be answered Sunday.
I am not sure what spreads you are looking at. Every Las Vegas sportsbooks -- Las Vegas Hilton, Caesars, MGM, Stratosphere, Southpoint, Leroy's, Wynn and Stations -- has the line at 7 1/2 points -- the high-water mark for the week.

For sure the line has moved around this week. It opened at 6 1/2 points and moved down to 6 as early action was on Denver. But all of the late action was on New England as the line moved to 7 on Thursday and then 7 1/2 Friday afternoon. Let's see what happens between now and kick off, if anything. I wouldn't be surprised to see the line down to 7 before the day is over because there appears to be a lot of action.

Of course, if you are convinced the Broncos are the way to go, forget the spread and bet them at plus $3.20 on the money line at Las Vegas Hilton or Mirage/MGM. I still like the Patriots in this game.
