Time To Go Back To Vegas!

Things are starting to get back to normal in our household and we're just about ready to go back to the Silverton within 3 weeks. Can't wait to eat at Twin creeks and sink my teeth into a huge Prime Rib or Filet Mignon.

But this trip I'm going to change our suite to the opposite side of the hotel. Instead of going to the left side off the elevator, we're going to go to the right side for a change of luck. We haven't been there since April of 2014 and we're long overdue. Can't wait to get in our rental car and motor down the freeway.
Nice to hear from you Bags. The NFC East is up for grabs. Looking forward to your stories.
So......There's a lucky side of the elevators?

I KNEW it! No wonder my winning is random, I've been randomly accepting my room assignment.
I really like the Silverton.
Nice place and a very nice buffet, however I rarely win there.
Rock'n Rita has never won there.

BTW, There is a new hotel under construction for the Silverton.
Some road sections within the property are blocked off (detoured).
Dean Martin Drive is not affected.

If you are into Asian food, Wuhu Noodles is excellent! Nothing fancy, or expensive, just good food. Try the crab Rangoon.
I love the Silverton!
Bagiant's frequent postings about the place made me want to go there. The beds and linens are incredibly comfortable. The valet is easy to use and the workers have all been nice to me, especially at the front desk. The Bass Pro Shop is fun and they sell Kansas City's Bryant's BBQ sauce when I am there in June. The lunch buffet usually has delicious grilled vegetables and the Mexican restaurant has a nice taco/margarita deal too.
Sometimes I just sit in front of the huge fish tank and relax. Finally, they are generous with their comps. If you haven't been there before I would highly recommend it!
Aloha,
Jennifer
By the way, I noticed that they just revamped their website. It looks great!
We went there semi regularly many years ago, but then they would send offers and promos and then not be adequately staffed for them...is this still an issue...I remember they sent $5 buffets and then we waited in line, just to be told that it was the line for a comeback in two hour line...we have never went there again. We did use to go to their mexican restaurant and liked it. Also their cafe had decent specials...this was maybe 6-7 years ago or longer.

what are some of their current specials?
We are going to LV in January for our usual seven day trip . We always do five days at Paris , and are considering a first time stay at the Silverton for two days . We did play there on our last trip and got an offer for free play and free nights . Any advice on rooms would be appreciated . Bob
Bob, I go bold and ask a host for an upgrade to a suite. You never know what can happen. I asked for a suite when I was only playing quarters and the host OK'ed our request. Wound up hitting a royal that raip and gave her $200 TIP/ WE NEVER HAD ANYTHING BUT A SUITE AFTER THAT TRIP.
Hi Motownbob,
I don't get suites, just regular free rooms. I always ask for the top floor (which is the fourth floor). As much as I love the Silverton, they do have thin floors and walls. Sometimes it can sound like an elephant walking on the floor above you.
Aloha,
Jennifer
