Time To Go To Vegas!

Well, we're ready to hit the road and head for Vegas. We planned on leaving earlier, but it just wasn't in the cards. So now we're picking up a silver Lincoln MK-S on Saturday to take to Vegas. Avis has held it for me for almost a week assuming I was going to rent it eventually.

We're going to the Silverton for a change even though I'm being tempted to go to the Tropicana to be reunited with my former slot hostess. Although she said that she would match whatever the Silverton was giving me, when it came down to "crunch" time, she really couldn't "seal the deal". Couldn't guarantee me the $500-600 in free play that the Silverton gives me nor the cartons and cartons of cigarettes that we get free. She wanted to see what my action was even though she KNOWS what kind of action that I give. At least she was giving us a Paradise suite with an adjoining room for Faye's care giver. Btu she had screwed me before when I was staying at the Red Rock with Sharlene. I asked her for 2 additional nights at the RR, assuming I was comped, and they charged me about $800 for the 2 nights even though I was playing $1-$5 on VP. That wasn't cool at all even though they took off $400 in points that I had earned. I was angry because she didn't tell me about it BEFOREHAND! Imagine my surprise when I went to check out. I could have been staying at Sam's Town for free and had a Gold Card to pay for everything including meals at Billy Bob's Steakhouse as many times as I wanted to eat there. When I went to check into ST after the RR, is when Sharlene decided to go back to Vista....and the adventure started!

So now we'll be at the Silverton without my laptop, so I'll have to use the Silverton internet service which really sucks since they have no mouse, or go to the Kinko's which is down the road. Will make it tough to make my offshore bets without having a laptop, or to update my TR. At least the Silverton has that new Canotr's sports book which is supposed to be topnotch! Better than that "hole -in -the wall" book from Leroy's that they had before.

So here's my picks for this weekends playoff games. I'm taking the Ravens +9.5 vs. Broncos....49ers - 2.5 vs. the Packers on Saturday. The Falcons -2.5, and the Patriots -9 buying a half on Sunday! Have a great week all, I'll try and update you from Kinko's. Here's hoping we all have a great week, and lots of Royal Flush jackpots on the horizon. Wonder how much the Shady Groove $1 jackpot is way above $6000. I'm going to hit it for sure.
I hope that you have a great trip.
Have a great trip Bagiant. Cantor's sportsbook operations are top notch. They're a highly reputable company (Cantor Fitzgerald) that I used to feature on my blog when they ran online casino operations (they no longer do, now concentrating on the land based sportsbooks I believe). So you can bet there with certainly of great service, and that you'll get paid when you win. May you have a wonderfully lucky trip! Do let us all know how you get on.
I would take the Seahawks +2.5 I think they will win the game outright.

Well, there's been a change of plans. We are now leaving on Monday instead of Sunday. A new guy at Avis rented out our Lincoln for the weekend and it won't be back until Monday morning. They've been holding this car for us for a week, and the owner wasn't there when he rented the car for the weekend. I guess it really doesn't matter much and I'll be able to watch both NFL games on Sunday instead of missing the early game, Falcons vs. Seattle. I like the Falcons in that game. I would sure like to be in the sports book watching the game. I guess they don't have a bar hooked up with the sports book at this time. I like to play VP while watching the game. Closest bar is probably the Flair bar as it is on the same side of the casino as the book. But I'll probably play at the Shady Groove lounge providing that the $1 progressive jackpot is high enough. Otherwise, I might play at the Mermaid bar if their .25c progressive jackpot is high..over $1300. Guess I'll have an extra day to pack as I haven't even started yet.

In the other playoff games this week, I like the Ravens +9, 49ers -2.5, Falcons -2.5, and I'm undecided about the Pats/Texans game. I lost betting the Texans when they played the Patriots earlier this season. Tough to go against Brady, but if the Texans go back to the way they were performing on offense the first half of the season, and the defense put pressure on Brady, who knows what will happen.

There's some talk on a sports gambling forum that the "easiest" teaser on the board is playing the Broncos-3 to the Patriots -3. I always chuckle when I see everyone agreeing that taking that teaser is a "lock". Whenever something looks soooo easy.....you know what happens. So one or the other team WON'T cover this weekend and will probably lose outright. Just my .02c.

If DonDiego were teasing he'd consider the Pack +8½ and the Seahawks +8½ a better wager, . . . might be able to get +9 closer to game-time.

Just win baby!
Seahawks +2.5 was a winnah! Except that they should have won outright......Drat!
