TNT's Mob City

TNT debuted the first two episodes tonight. It deals with the Los Angeles Police Department and the mob in the 40's. The sets, costumes, and actors are perfect. At least one cop is dirty. The show reminds me of the style of the movie, L.A. Confidential. They also have the character Bugsy Siegel in it, which means they can open up to Las Vegas if TNT should continue it. The show also shows William Parker in his early stages before he became Chief of Police.

Please TNT, please. Give this show a chance to make it. This may become my new Sopranos.
Loved it!
It is a 3 week limited run series with a possible pickup.
Funny you mentioned L.A. Confidential. It was on early this morning on HBO.

Watched the same-day-encore late last nite and enjoyed it quite a bit--enough to look it up next week.
Looking at an insert in yesterday's paper, it looks like it is a 3 week series and is not intended to be a regular weekly show.
