To Renew or Not to Renew!

Do I do it? LVA doesn't seem like the great newsletter it once was. Maybe its because so much information is on the internet. As far as the Message Boards, the free side and Vegas Free-For-All is so much better. As far as the MRB, I get a full comp at a couple different properties so I NEVER use my book. What have you done when your membership is up for renewal.
Renew. I'm comped to but I still use a lot of the coupons
I'll probably renew. For the money, the ACG is the better value.
To me I renew mostly because of the coupons. I get comped too at a few places, but I also like to enjoy the whole Vegas area when I am in town. There are a lot of good coupons for off strip properties, and I make use of a lot of those. I guess if you aren't going to use the coupons and no longer find much value out of the newsletter it would be hard to justify renewing it. As long as I find value in the coupons I will keep up my membership. That is just me.

Renew and send me your coupon book. I will make sure it gets used.

People have been banned for saying that.
If I didn't use the coupon book, I would not renew. To me, thats where the value is- the coupons and the free side of the website. Paid side has gone far south.
Never say never. I may rejoin when LVA learns to treat customers better. I'm still in touch with most of my friends from the paid side, and some of the most interesting people hang here.
You may have answered your own question. For myself, I find the forums on the paid side better, particularly with the additional catagories. Nothing wrong with the free side though. As to the newsletter, you hit the nail on the head when it comes to the internet. Time was that I waited each month for Las Vegas Style mag (remember that one?) and then the LVA newsletter. Once I started reading the local papers and other pubs online, both became dated. The forums revived LVA for me since I don't get around to using coupons much. Still, I use enough to make the cost of subscription up, or close to it. If I was a comped traveler, I might feel different, but I don't foresee myself playing enough for that to happen.

Good Luck!

I was happy to renew.

If you ignore everything but the gaming coupons it is a solid value.
Once you add in all the rest (and I don't think I need to get in to ALL the specifics) it was a very easy decision for me.
