Today's poll about dive bars

Ohh..that place. That's the place in between the maxim and Barbary coast, right? (I know, dated references). We stayed at summer bay resorts several times and the Maxim, that was my go to place for room supplies, beer..sodas..beer and ummm...beer. Definitely some local regulars in there.

I read a recent trip report somewhere from someone who was disappointed in visit to The Stage Door. I seem to recall the complaint is that it had been refurbished a little and is less divy

I've never seen the attraction. It's tiny, has horrible VP and the two times I stopped barmaidens were attractive but disinterested.

I interpret that as being temporarily closed. I don't know if it is open or not.

I usually don't care for any dive bars, but that bar maiden and those cheap ice cold beers on a 110 degree day were just what the doctor ordered.

I called them just now and they are open for business as usual, whew.
