My wife and I were at Palace Station Buffet. Two couples were at a table near us when one of the men took ill. The server called for medical help. While they were waiting for the ambulance the wife of the ill man was standing by the table and kept taking food off her plate on the table and eating it.

She was hungry. Maybe she was anticipating a long hospital visit and had to bulk up.
It may not be her first rodeo in an ambulance.

She might have been nervous. Years ago, my Mother called 911 when my niece fell and severely cut her lip. While waiting for responders, she had my sister and the girls sister straightening up the house.
