Tomato Ranch Ridge - July 2016

Well, . . . this morning' there were some pre-dawn showers in the area, . . . but the Sun came up anyway.

It's been a mite wetter this year altogether, . . . but the birds like it, . . .

. . . , and the garden too, . . .

. . . 'specially the squash. teechur and poor old DonDiego are knee-deep in squash this year. Likely DonDiego'll harvest the first vine-ripened red tomatoes this weekend.

Have a nice day !
I was pondering the word “garden” yesterday, thanks to this thread about DonDiego’s Tomato Ranch, among other things, and it made me think of this song that John Denver performed on The Muppet Show in September, 1979:

The Garden Song - John Denver and The Muppets, 1979

Inch by inch, row by row
Gonna make this garden grow
All it takes is a rake and a hoe
And a piece of fertile ground

Inch by inch, row by row
Someone bless these seeds I sow
Someone warm them from below
‘Til the rain comes tumblin’ down

Looks like things are progressing well on Tomato Ranch Ridge, DonDiego.
