Tony Bennett anyone?

I see he's coming to Indy in march. He turns 90 this year. Has anyone seen him recently? Can he still sing ? I'd like to see his show but am trying to figure out if its worth dropping $150 for.

Well, he ain't gonna get any younger. LOL.

On TV recently (live), he was quite good.

I'd say if you'd kick yourself if he died and you hadn't gone, let that drive your decision.

I'm still kicking myself for not going to see Elvis, even at his worst.
I'm still kicking myself for never having seen Glenn Frey or the Eagles. concerts are so over-priced these days, I usually don't go even if it is one of my favorites.

The Eagles and Simon and Garfunkel are two shows I wanted to go see but their ticket prices were crazy high.

Tony Bennett for $150 is $150 too much.
I saw the Eagles in the Summer of 1978 with Steve Miller and Pablo Cruise. Cruise played first and was great, Steve Miller was disappointing, and The Eagles were fantastic. I was reading about Glenn Frey the other day, and learned that Joe Walsh had already been with the Eagles for 3 years when I say them. For some reason, my brain was telling me that he was new with the band in '78, but that was not the case.

I saw Tony Bennett maybe ten years ago, his voice was perfection, and I'd love to see him in a small venue or from premium seats. But from my average seats at a big venue - the Hollywood Bowl - he was a disappointment. I'm thinking he's a saloon singer who is best appreciated in a saloon.

I've seen plenty of performers - especially Sinatra and Springsteen - who could seem to reach out to every member of the audience, even non-fans, even in a big venue. Hell, last July I saw 75 year old Smokey Robinson do it; I was close to the very back row at the Hollywood Bowl and he was the black dot on the stage. But he commanded the whole place. But not, based on my one experience, Tony Bennett.

Besides, "I Left my Heart in San Francisco" is the Zsa Zsa Gabor of pop standards; it's famous for being famous, but it's really crap.
The crazy prices and sometimes the LAST time they will be in concert.
Get 'em B-4 they die.
I still like to ROCK.

G&R tickets are crazy expensive,but I'm not into G&R.
Rush,Ozzie and Yes and Alice ,I would consider.
So many rockers have departed. We all depart.

There are some great "tribute" performers in Las Vegas!
Lots! Choose the ones that you like.

I saw Rush, The Doors and Jimi in concert, but I missed The Beatles.
If you want to see Tone Bennet>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Go for it. In terms of timing , interpreting a lyric, and all that goes with it >>>>>>Elements of this will be present until he takes his last breath. The Ticket price is only subjective...........How many BS bills will we all get over the course of a month and have to pay with out a smile............The anticipation plus having something to look forward to makes it a winner
Who....doesn't he have a couples of grandson's playing in the NFL ?, Michael and Martellus Bennett - I'm Joking !!!!

I think if a casino put Bennett on the stage with Wayne Newton, Tom Jones and SOOG (some other old Guy) - it would be a hit. Maybe Frankie Valli

I'd say $150.00 is not that bad, I mean directv bills and cell bills are almost as much.
For 2 hours of entertainment go for it.
