Tony Roma's 12.95 Special at the Fremont

New Special at the Fremont

New Special
Thanx for the tip- I can't even read the word "brisket" without getting hungry, so I'll be curious to hear feedback on this deal. A lot of people used to recommend the BBQ dinner at Ellis Island, but I've never liked anything there except the pizza.....

I havent been to Tony Romas at the Fremont for about 3 years and things 'might' have changed but thought I would throw an experiance of mine out there....

I went there for a lobster tail, Steak, and baked potatoe special for $11.99. The wait staff was dreadful, the wait for the meal once we were seated was almost 1 hour! The lobster tail was baked,(who the hell bakes a lobster tail???)and was dry as hell. If the steak was held up to a light, you could have seen thru it (very thin) and frankly it was tastless.

The bread (appitizer) and baked potatoe were good though!

I would wait to hear some reviews of the meals before I ran to Tony Romas for any deal. Like I said it was a while ago and things could have gotten better.

I was going to ask if the Tony Roma's at Fremont is better than the restaurant in my area. Mediocre. Doesn't bubble up to vacation food.

I have actually never eaten at the one at the Fremont but I know that in the evenings when I am there at the casino there is always a wait.

I was hoping to hear of some good experiences as it did sound like a good deal.

Curtis have you ever tried the chicken fried steak at Ellis Island. The one time I tried it it was real good!
I have to navigate past a long line at Denny's when I walk to breakfast at Bouchon, Mon Ami Gabi, Morels or Payard but I am never dissuaded by the masses. Lol
I have eaten at Tony Roma's a couple of yrs. ago and I thought the food was pretty good and the service pretty good as well. We went in June and went downtown on a Wed. night so the wait wasn't to bad maybe 15 to 20 minutes. All was reasonablly priced.
I agree with FRedmush. Mediocre at best.

i went for the prime rib special one time. the line is insane when doors open but pretty much everyone is seated pretty quickly.

everyone was also served pretty quicky EXCEPT me. it took forever to get my food. then it took forever to get the check (HUGE PET PEEVE) and of course, it was the wrong check so i had to wait forever to get the right one.

never again.

Well the last time I was there was in 2009 and the food was ok. The interior lighting however was awful!
Major 1980's darkness! You can't even see the damn menu, let alone the food.
