Top TV shows associated with Las Vegas

I saw the thread of, Ten of the best films set in Las Vegas and it got me thinking about TV series based in or with a Las Vegas connection. Below are my favorite TV shows that fit that bill, can anyone think of anymore?

I’d have to say my all-time favorite TV show that was associated with Vegas was;
Las Vegas with James Caan, Josh Duhamel and of course Nikki Cox.

Coming in at a very close second was Vegas with Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis and the smoke’n Sarah Jones as Mia Rizzo.

Does anyone remember Vega$ with Robert Urich? He drove around in that bright red 57’ T-Bird and what about Dr. Vegas with Rob Lowe? He was a doctor that lived in a casino and was on call for everything medical for that casino, okay there was more than just “medical treatment” going on. After all it is Vegas!!!

Another good one was "Lucky" with John Corbett and Billy Gardell on FX. It's to bad it was only 13 episodes before it got cancel.
I enjoyed "Las Vegas" the television show. I loved the women in it. The plots were outrageous and must have had real casinos laughing. They appeared to have not hired a consultant in the beginning.

Some of the things you will not see in real casinos that was portrayed in the show Las Vegas:

Handing out room comps like they were candy.

Mike, the brilliant MIT graduate who was supposed to be the valet supervisor was NEVER at valet. The guy was on the casino floor or up in surveillance.

There was no computer system that Mike couldn't hack in less than ten seconds. The guy must have a statue in the computer underworld.

The Montecito Hotel had some kind of wheels. Sometimes it was down on the south side of the strip near the Mandalay Bay, sometimes it was much further North and was near the Venetian.

I did love the outside design of the Montecito with the huge waterfall coming down the front side of the building. I think it would be a great design for a new hotel.

Thanks fernie18

I enjoyed them all and have all 13 on the old VHS Tapes.

Crime Story 1986-1988
DonDiego saw Dennis Farina filming an episode in front of Binion's one evening, . . . lots of cool old cars on the street.

CSI: Las Vegas 2000-present
DonDiego enjoyed the first few years, lost interest after William Petersen left, . . . doesn't watch it anymore.
I loved "Vegas" with Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis. Mia was more than attractive. Wow.

Gotta agree, I watched CSI Vegas from the beginning and I was also bummed when ‘Grissom’ left but I still watch it. It was the first CSI and it outlasted the other two so it still has its moments, some really good plot lines while others are mediocre. Maybe it has to do with whoever directs and writes a particular episode; I’ll have to pay more attention to who that is on the good ones.

There was a show called "The Watcher" that was set in Vegas. It had some rapper, Ice Cube I think it was, that would sit in a high roller suite and was able to tap into every video camera in the city to see what was going on. He would "follow" different people around the city to show what happened to them. The show would have two or three stories going on at the same time (Think Love Boat) and they sometimes merged at the end.

One story that I thought was really funny was about a guy that would pig out at the casinos buffet everyday. The buffet cost only $3.00. He would balance five or six plates on his arms at a time while he was at the food stations. Finally the buffet manager and the casino manager decide to ban him from, not only their buffet, but from every one in town. He looks all dejected and asks the waitress what he should do. Naturally, he's standing next to a MegaBucks type machine and she tells him to play it. He hits the jackpot and the two managers have to be in the photo with him getting the big check.

The show was on the UPN Network and never really had a chance of staying on. I thought it was a decent show.

Ray
The Defenders was a legal drama that only lasted one season.

Vegas Strip on TruTV was sort of like Cops, set on the strip. Absolutely wonderful.
I loved both reality shows in Vegas from a decade or so back - the one set in Green Valley Ranch, and also the one set in the Golden Nugget. Very entertaining.
