Total Rewards, new tier score requirements

Thought this would interest some. Tier score requirements going up for Platinum, Diamond and 7 Stars and there will be three levels for Diamonds.

I recently spoke with a person at the Total Rewards desk in AC.

I was told that Platinim will go from 4,000 to 5,000 &
Diamond will go from 11,000 to 13,000 in 2013.

These people are never satisfied. I remember when Harrah's Rincon opened, you had to cash in your points that day!!!! Usually we got to take home a bag of coffee from their coffee shop.

when do you think they'll put out a definite notice?

No, it was me. I had information that, at the time, no one else knew, and I thought it might help some people making their plans for the new year. Here it is almost New Year's Day -- when Total Rewards starts the tier point count from zero -- and they still haven't made an announcement. What are they going to do surprise people in January?

Among the questions, and the most obvious one is this, when do the new tier point levels take effect -- in 2013 or 2014? Will people who show up in January thinking they are diamond or 7stars or Platinum find out they no longer are? And what's with the three different levels of Diamond supposed to mean?

And why is it being kept such a secret??
