Will you elaborate a little more on Hoover Dam? Are there escalators that go to/from the pedestrian walkway on the bridge? I have an older relative who isn't able to walk long distances yet would love to see the sights.
It's a pretty good hike from the parking garage down to the visitor center, it's the hike back up that was so trying to me. I never considered taking my scooter but you can get it to the center. I don't think you can take the tour with it tho, I know for certain you can't do the extended tour, they say people on crutches can't even do it. Check web site, it says what you limitations there are.
It was funny, I was talking with this other guy (after the speech about how they got it done under budget and two years early )that if they were to b uild the same thing today how it would be at least 3 yrs behind and several billion over budget by now just to get past the enviro. impact study because every red-breasted web-footed lake loon down in mexico might have to be relocated. Sad thing is, it's prob not far from the truth.
