Trip report NYNY 12/7-12/12
Arrived in Vegas 9pm bag already at the carousel and driver waiting. I was at NYNY 5 nights. The offer was Players suite, RFB and $750 FP.
There was no one in line in check-in and within 5 minutes I was heading up to the room. I went down to play for a while but didn’t have much luck so just went to bed. Down $300.

My friend was getting in around 10:30am so I just played in the morning (slots). They moved the triple, double diamond machine I won on in July but I found it. My host reserved tickets to the Michael Jackson Cirque show so I picked up the tickets and made reservations for the Sporting House to watch my Steelers. My friend got in at 11am, we got her situated and I went back down to play. My triple double diamond was finally warming up and after playing on $100 for a couple hours I cashed out at $2200 (ticket in safe).
We went to watch the game and after the game Kris went up to the room and I stayed down to play. Same machine $200 cashed out at $1300 (ticket put in safe). Called it a night up +2900 so far for the trip.

Got up early (still on east coast time). Breakfast at Il Fornaio, great as always. Played for a while with a couple of good wins on same triple double diamond and 4 diamond machines. $300 in cashed out at $1551. Took a walk up the strip then headed back to get ready for the Cirque show. Had the house limo take us to Mandalay Bay and played for a while before the show. Lost $250.00. The show was ok but I expected a lot more. It was definitely Cirque lite. More dancing then Cirque but the song groupings could have been better and was disappointed with the Thriller part. After the show it was a cluster F waiting for the car. With the rodeo in town and it getting out at the same time the house limos were backed up. Add to that a very drunk foreign guy who was yelling at all the drivers that were not there for him and I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
Got back to NYNY and played for a while $200 in and cashed out at $525.00. Finished the day up 4226.00 for the trip.

In the morning I ran into my host who said she put an additional $500 FP on my card as a Christmas gift. Now I had a decision to make. My 750FP sucked so do I take the $500 to a $5 machine or put it in my trusty triple double diamond. OK let’s go to TDD (tired of typing it out!) $57 dollars in I hit for $1440. The first time I hit a w-2 on FP. Finished playing the FP and ended cashing out with an addition 1201.
Went to Aria, played $100 cashed out at $200. Then we went to Cosmo played $200 cashed out at $600. We then made our way to Bellagio played $300 and cashed out at $400. Then we went to Coach in Caesar’s. Now anyone who has read my reports knows I have a weird superstition. When I win I have to go to shopping at Coach. But I have to go through the Forum shop doors by Mirage. Then I keep winning. So hey I needed a new watch! Eventually we made it back to NYNY and I played the 4-diamond machine and hit for $2880 (second w-2) still on the money I cashed out on the free play. Played for a while and ended up playing the 1201 down to 901. The went to the put $200 TDD $5 machine and hit for $2400
That evening we had table service at ROK, which is always a fun time. The people that had table service around us were fun and the two of us managed to finish over ¾ the bottle. Unfortunately Kris hit her limit and slept most of the night on the bathroom floor! Ended the day up $12,247 for the trip.

Started the day with the 901 from last night. This ended up being my can’t lose day. It doesn’t happen many times but it is fun when it does. I started at the 4-diamond machine and played for a long time hitting some decent amount then I hit for $8000. After the payout I played the money down to $600 and moved one seat over to the Triple diamond deluxe. Less then 10 minutes paying I hit 3 triple diamonds for $4000. Played the 600 starting money down to $300 and moved to the TDD $5 machine and hit for $1600.00. and cashed out at $500. Took that $500 to the Triple diamond deluxe $5 machine and hit for $1200 my 7th and last w-2 for the trip. I then used $500 of my point play to play some $5 machine (can’t remember the name) and cashed out at $700. Used that to play the rest of the night. Total for the trip $26,146.00.
It was a great profitable trip. A perfect Christmas present. I ended up putting around 53000 points on my card (or 390,000 tier points). They comped everything including the cirque tickets so I didn’t have to use any express comps and ended the year with two winning trips and 10 w-2s
Can’t wait for the next trip!.
