A majority of the trip does not include Gambling; but will focus on Food, New attractions and Hotels.
Hotels
1. Cosmopolitan (10 of 10 starts)
The highlight of this trip, was the $100 per night upgrade we paid for the wrap-around suite. The room was comped, so the thought of paying just $100.00 a night for the “Once in a lifetime” chance to stay in this type of room was easily made BY MY GIRLFRIEND !!!.
It was well worth the cost. The balcony goes on forever, the separate bathroom (with shower) was handy. The master bathroom and bedroom are separated by an open wall, so you can see through to the sinks and shower and hot tub.
The 2 TV’s were both 46” Samsung HD’s and I’d say Cosmopolitan have the best in room technology. A directTv channel guide, fast system. Thank you Guest Tech. The room also came with a kitchen area and full refrigerator and microwave.
Always a delight to park in their self parking – with the green and red lights used for spaces.
NOTE: they had all of the video display monitors offline in the Lobby. The Front desk said they were upgrading to HD, so expect the lobby experience to return soon.
2. Delano (9 of 10 starts)
White and bright, remodeled THEHotel room was very nice and minimalist. Again MGM have nice in room technology, good menu selection and fast. Unfortunately, Delano did not change much in the bathrooms and my showerhead leaked. The living area is much more open, 46”Samsung HD Tv is very nicely mouthed to a white wall. Room is bright and White, maybe not the best color scheme for a Vegas hotel. See restaurant for Della’s kitchen review.
3. Paris (6 of 10 stars)
Well I went from nice, new age rooms to the dark ages. The Paris room was a standard room. There was a 40” HD TV (HD channels begin from 100, so you have to search to find them). But that was the only update I saw in the room, since 2006 – when I used to use the hotel as my Base. The even left the old armoire in the room that used to house the old Tube TV. One bonus is that they replaced the TV with a Refrigerator.
This section of the hotel report is complete - others to follow.
Please ask any questions and I will try and answer.
Upcoming reports on restaurants, attractions and a little gambling.
