Trump, the easy choice, why are we making this so hard?

When people are polled (Gallup & RCP) about specific policies such as economic, intl affairs & obamacare, support for those policies is in the low 40's. So obviously people don't feel they are better off.

1% GDP growth & $1t deficits are not sustainable. Within 20 years 100% of federal tax revenue wil go to Medicare/ss & interest payments.

Interesting how nobody was able to contradict DD's post about obamacare losses.
Sounds like the Flamingo Kid was smoking the cheap shit all weekend.
The government is not in the business of making money, it's job is the welfare of the nation.
Strange that hoops doesn't mention the losses NASA or the Pentagon generate each year.
NASA's budget has been slashed. An army is part of the constitution, medical insurance is not

We were promised that obamacare would pay for itself & that we would save money. Neither has happened.

In my case, the evidence is overwhelming. I'm much better off.
My real estate investments did well, my portfolio more than doubled in that time, my health insurance is less than a third of what is was, and is much better.
Is the country better off? Wall St is up, military deployments are down, unemployment is down, the number of uinsured is down.
Obviously there are some down points,as well but the bottom line is
I'd much rather relive 2009-2012 than 2001-2004.
If Clinton will be a third Obama term, sign me up.

Welcome to the 2%!

Is is great. I too am better off than 8 years ago. Of course I would be better off no matter who was president. But let us take a little look at things if I was not in the position I was 8 years ago. What if I was starting off like I was in '80. Nope, I would still be poor. Opportunities would have been blocked. For every hard fought step forward I would be shoved two steps back.
"But that's OK" say the progressives, "we will take care of you". I would be given a crappy place to live. Money for food that I could trade for drugs and alcohol, and substandard health care.

The policies of the present and future administrations chain the poor to their poverty.

But hey, you are doing great. That's all that matters.

I'm more like in the 7%, but I believe the average American is better off today than eight years ago.

Nope.

If you have real estate that is valued higher than pre recession values.
If you have a stock portfolio that has increased more than 11% in the last 7 years.
If your insurance premiums are 30% less....(Well, I don't know what kind of magic you are using there.)

You are definitely in the top 2% of America.
But it's OK. Hillary is your choice. She will keep you where you are. Just like she will keep everyone where they are with little to no hope of advancement.

Imagine the opportunities for America and the world if NASA's budget was returned to pre 1970 equivalents. Millions of jobs at every level. My goodness! Most people would earn a living wage for doing actual work.
The by products of NASA aren't just good jobs, NASA PRODUCES. Advancements in every category. From better mops and brooms to life saving medical equipment. The whole world would benefit, the poor more than the rich. You would not need obamacare if NASA were a greater priority than welfare.

And for all of you that think a shrinking military is a good thing; you need to come down and give a hand with Semper Fi fund or other organizations and get to know the vast majority of these kids. It's an all volunteer military and for many of these young men and women it is the only career fit they have. They WANT to be in the military. They are more than willing to accept the responsibilities and dangers of their choice of career. One of the few good things the government does to lift the poor out of poverty and "progressive" thinking people want to cut it off short.

The average american isn't better off and here's why, because the population has gone from 304 million to 324 million, with an extra 20 million people in your way competing for cash and resources, as well as inflation, its hard to be better off. wasn't money market interest paying 4 or 5 percent in 2007 and 2008 and now its 0? how is that 'better off'?

also, lets even assume we are 'better off' now than we were, does that mean we just accept the status quo and elect hillary? all she's going to do is let millions of more people into the borders to compete for jobs and resources, how does that help the crime rate as well as the 'way of life'? do we really need 'more people'? im pretty sure we don't.

if we are at "X" right now, why stay pat at X? why not try and get even better? there's a LOT of room for improvement, why not go for the person who wants to improve things and improve our way of life vs the person who isn't going to change a thing? if you're not getting better you're getting worse, we can't afford to sit back

Several wild claims by that guy were debunked - by the Republican House Intelligence Committee.

Maybe it's time to move on to Hillary is Sick/Mental/Has Alzheimer's! Or Rigged Debates! Or Rigged Election! I understand that's what all the cool kids will be doing.

Are you calling the parents of these American heroes liars? Shame on you!

It was the Republican House Intelligence Committee that debunked the claims. Do you want me to quote the chairman or the lead counsel?
Are you calling Charles Woods and Susan Smith Liars?
