Democrats won't stand in his way on this special interest smackdown ...but you can bet Paul Ryan will.

In any event, I'm keeping track. since the election Trump has
1) embraced Hillary's stance on drugs
2) Obama''s policy on deportations
3) bernie's policy on protectionism
4) the Obamacare protections on pre existing conditions

But on the bright side for conservatives - he still thinks climate change is something dreamed up by the same folks who orchestrated the fake moon landing.

All in all, I'd say it's progress as the president-elect runs away from the drivel he ran his campaign on. And it's not even Inauguration Day yet.
So you're saying Trump is moving the Republican party from the Far Right toward the Center on several issues? That's good for everyone but Democrat Politicians. Maybe they'll have to go further Left and abandon the Center. Let's see who ends up being their new party chairperson.

I don't know about the party...but certainly his own position on some key issues. I can care less about "politicians" . I support good policy whomever Sponcers it...and I reject bad policy the same way. I suspect Trump will trigger both from my perspective.

Moving from "deporting all illegal immigrants" to "deporting felons" is something I can agree with...and it's largely in line with what's been happening already. I would think the anti-amnesty people would be outraged - but what we're finding out is they don't have strong opinions on policy...only the people who sponcer it.

It's kind of comforting that PJ is now supporting Trump's immigration agenda. I'm not so sure Trump has a 'new' policy though. His immigration policy speech in September didn't emphasize 'deporting ALL illegal immigrants'.

He said:

"Our enforcement priorities will include removing criminals, gang members, security threats, visa overstays, public charges. That is those relying on public welfare or straining the safety net along with millions of recent illegal arrivals and overstays who’ve come here under this current corrupt administration."

He also made several more points that I don't think have been walked back:

1. End Catch and Release
2. End sanctuary cities
3. Revoke President Obama's 'executive amnesties'
4. Implement E-Verify
5. Build the Wall (And make Mexico Pay for it)
6. Suspend issuing visas to any place where thorough screening cannot occur.
7. Insure other countries take their people back when deported.
8. Sign Kate's Law
9. Complete the biometric entry-exit visa tracking program
10. Reform legal immigration to serve the best interests of America and its workers

But hey...Step one is get rid of the criminal aliens while stopping illegal entry. With Sessions at AG and General Kelly at Homeland Security it might happen. But it's still comforting that PJ is now supporting Trump's immigration agenda.

Alan, I understand you are too embarrassed to confess you voted for Trump. I get it - believe me. But if you keep rewriting history on his behalf then your closet door will whip wide open.

Amnesty was a four letter word in the Republican campaign and Trump crucified Low-energy-Jeb for uttering it. trump rode the back of every Confederate Flag waving inbreeder on the idea he would boot out the Spanish speaking hotel maids at the Stratosphere. A year later Trump has not only changed his tune but he has completely 180-ed.

I view this as a positive change. Steve King views at as an unpositive change. AlanLeroy Thinks there is no change.

So you're accusing me of being a 'closet' Trump voter? Man, you're reminding more and more of Boilerman. Next, I guess you'll be PMing me accusing me of being a 'right wing conservative'.

Although I have always agreed with Trump on parts of his agenda, I just could not vote for him or Hillary. I thought they were both flawed candidates. He is now our President and he's entitled to a fair chance...like Clinton and Obama both said....and like I was willing to give President Obama when he was elected. The people have spoken.

I can also read and comprehend...your article.

"Trump did not offer details, and Time said that he did not back off his pledge to undo Obama’s executive actions."

So, what exactly is in conflict with what I posted on Trump's September Immigration Policy speech? Does PJ now agree with the 10 points I listed.

The bottom line is that your original post claims that 'since the election Trump has...' made all these changes in his stances.

If you were actually paying attention, you would have noted that.
1. Trump was going to focus on Criminal Illegal Aliens first. He made that clear in the policy speech.
2. He and Bernie were both against bad trade deals like NAFTA and TPP from the start.
3. He has always said that health insurers must cover pre-existing conditions.

What? Did you just wake up on election day and figure out what he's been saying all along?
