Call your country Democratic and Republican HQ. Tell them you just moved in and want to volunteer for Clintons or Trumps campaign.
See what happens. When I called the Democratic Party, I was asked my name, number if I had any experience, where I moved from, ect, ect. Within two hours I had a call from a guy three blocks from me inviting me to a coffee and doughnuts breakfast on Saturday at a local clubhouse.
Republicans took my name and number and said they'd pass it along. I'll update when and if they ever call...
So has the Trump "campaign" ever gotten back to you? Someone tried your experiment, calling Trump offices in all fifty states.
"Arkansas and Oklahoma share a phone number, but it’s not in service. There’s an “application error” for Delaware, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio, Oregon, West Virginia and Wisconsin. An automated voice informs callers to the Connecticut and Pennsylvania offices that the customer they are attempting to reach has not set up a voicemail and suggests they try again later." And in Nevada and Florda, the voicemail refuses to take messages, saying the mailbox is full.
Bad polls can be overcome; it happens all the time. But burning motivated potential volunteers - if it isn't fixed immediately - will doom the Trump campaign. Ever hear the phrase "get out the vote?" Apparently Trump hasn't.
