TV program viewing

I was asked at Bally's if I viewed an up coming new TV program, I'll get paid $15.00. Has anybody gone through this? Is this on the up and up or is this like a time share deal? Thanks.
I saw that preview place while walking back to the sports book. There is (or at least used to be) a place on Sunset Blvd. I went with friends once. You sit and watch a television show or movie. Each person has a control in the audience. When you really like something in the show you rotate the dial to the degree you like it. If you don't like something you go the opposite way. They probably come up with some kind of cumulative report and then give it to the studio that made the production. On the way out there is a bunch of free samples you may take. We did not get paid.

I'm assuming that they now pay you to do it. The only downfall is you are probably asked to take a bit of your time to do it. I'm guessing it will be at least an hour.
My friend did the one at MGM last summer. She did not get paid for watching the show but they asked her to go back a few hours later for more in depth questions and paid her 50 dollars.
Sounds like an "advantage play" to me, if you're willing to give an hour, or less for $15.00. If it is, indeed only 15 minutes, than that equates to $60/hour.

And since it's "working", (as an independent consultant), perhaps you'd be able to deduct your trip expenses from your taxes.

"Hey, I thought I'd try to start a consulting business. Did not do very well and lost money." I know I would believe you.

My understanding is that two different networks are doing this. One is at the Bally's shops heading to the sportsbook and the other is at the MGM.
At the Double Down Saloon they screen episodes of Honey Boo Boo
