I just have this vision of dummies sitting on Liarry's lap......

Lvfritz, Alan, and Hoops remind me of the guys that hid in the bunker with Hitler during the last days of the Third Reich.

Man, am I good or what? PJ. So predictable.

I have never voted for a candidate who was against Major things I believe it...
...and so you took your ball and went home.

You know alanleroy, you could give a master class on how to be ineffectual and impotent when it comes to effecting political change. Let's compare you with the vast majority of Bernie supporters who got Clinton to alter her stance on the TPP treaty, the minimum wage, college tuition, and other issues, and then chose to support her in the general. If most Bernie voters were impervious to compromise like you are, Hillary would have had no incentive to change her positions. But because of both our hard work and our flexibility, we are going to end up with a candidate that is considerably more progressive than the one we started with.

So keep on voting for purely symbolic third-party candidates alanleroy, until you find one that is pure enough to meet your standards. We like it that way.

You actually BELIEVE the hill has changed her position on ANYTHING? Naive post of the year award goes to....

Of course. As the Democratic Party has moved to the left, largely thanks to Bernie and his supporters, so has Hillary. You can call her evolved or smart or craven - I really don't care. I just like the result.

It is possible to conceive of a system where countries all trade with each other without cheating or manipulating labor. I hardly see the nefarious nature of wishing for that end...but then again - I didn't see any death panels in the ACA either. So maybe I'm just blind.

Nope, too many folks looking out for their best interests = somebody thinks its unfair.

You may not as insurers are jumping ship as fast as rats.....

forky is in favor of 1% GDP growth expanding deficit, collapsing obamacare, record high u6 rates and record low adult participation rates
Are you so broken you are addicted to work?
People, especially men, are waking up to the fact that there is more to life than work.
More people should try it. Why wait until you are 65 to enjoy life's pleasures.

This is a very good sentiment and I actually believe in it. However, one must make hard decisions as to how they want to enjoy life. Are you happy living a frugal existence? If you answer yes then by all means do so and be happy. Would you rather have "nice things" and live luxuriously? Well, you are going to have to work for those things.

When I was very young, highschool age, I wanted to live a "Ken Ward from Zane Grey books" life. This can be done on a shoestring budget but I prefer to couple the adventure with luxury. So I worked very, very hard for 25 years living an adventure along the way. I have no regrets and would do it all again, I might even work harder given the opportunity.

I live in a gated community with a health club, two pools and a club. Drive a 2016 Mazda.
Not a Spartan lifestyle but toned down from the past.
I couldn't do this in NYC but can in Vegas. In eighteen months I can tap my IRAs and assuming I don't live more than forty years, it will be okay. I'm torn between taking early SS and investing it or waiting. There are strong arguments both ways.

Take it. You will never make up the difference of what you would have been paid, even though you would be paid more at a later age.
Don't drain more than 4% per year from your nestegg and you will never outlive your money. If 4% of your nest egg is not enough, take Social Security early.
