If they wanted to help Hillary, they would have released it right away. The held on to it to help NBC. Presidential elections only come around every four years, and it especially rare to have no incumbent running. This election cycle has been extremely profitable for the news networks. If they released the tape right away they knew Trump's numbers were going to tank (which they did), and that would cost NBC almost a month of big profits because people would no longer be interested in their election coverage once it looked like Trump had no chance of winning. To maximize profits, all news networks want to keep the illusion that it is winnable by either candidate going as long as possible. I suspect they would have liked to have held on to it until a week before the election.Quote
The allegations against Trump are decades old....no charges were brought, no charges will ever be brought. Do you think the release of these non-charges are a coincidence, coming right before an election?
The Juanita Broaddrick allegation was 21 years old when it was first raised in 1999. Even rabid Clinton hater and Special Prosecutor Ken Starr didn't think there was enough evidence to proceed. There were no charges brought and there never will be. Yet, 38 years after the said event, you and Roulette Man spent all yesterday arguing with me that it was still relevant.
Trump thought 38 year old claims that were found not credible enough to prosecute should be the subject of a Presidential Debate where the accused's wife not the accused is running. I think you see where I am going with this. You guys articulated the standard, and now you are stuck with it.Quote
