Two Interesting Headlines related to Global Warming

Really Forkie, why are scientists looking at ice when rocks generally out date it by several billion years?

Oh Forkie, in the 70's there were 3 theories about the creation of the universe? How many times did they change over the centuries?

Why was the CO2 levels 100 times higher during the time of the dinosaurs?

Where was that Antarctic ice 3 billion years ago? How about 300 million years ago?
I haven't a clue.

Why don't you ask the American Meteorological Association? Or the blogger with no last name? Your choice!

What? Forkie doesn't know about such things.

Global Warming is man made, then solution is less men.

-man makes earth warmer - then man will die - then mother earth will cool again - and maybe man will return.

The next 1000 years is such a small spec of time,
"why worry, be happy"

"I think global warming is real. I don’t think that’s deniable. And I do think human activity contributes to it."
- Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ), May 7, 2015
Source

"When you have 90 percent of the world's scientists who have studied this, stating that climate change is occurring and that humans play a contributing role, it's time to defer to the experts."
- Gov. Christie, August 19, 2011
Source

Shame that he's so disliked by the people who know him best, the people of New Jersey, he could teach them at least one truth.

What will Forkie think of such a statement?

Wow, let's unpack the astonishing, incredible, absolutely jatkian level of stupidity in that statement.

Remember ozone depletion? Intelligent public policy and new CFC technology arrested that problem, didn't it? Ever hear of the "London Fog." Turns out it was air pollution sickening and killing thousands of Londoners every year. Intelligent public policy and technology made a dramatic difference there too, didn't it?

But here's my favorite. In the early 1900s, over 120,000 horses in New York City caused horseshit of immense proportions that caused a horrible stench and flies everywhere. And when horses commonly broke their legs on the slippery streets, they were destroyed, and the removal of the body could clog streets for hours. And the pleasant clip-clop of horses on cobblestone? On busy New York streets, normal conversation was impossible.

And what was the great environmental savior of NYC back then. The gasoline burning automobile, with of course, no smog device. And over time, we've needed to make other changes. So you see, very stupid person, we don't need "fewer men" to solve man-made problems. We simply need resourceful, intelligent, committed, optimistic, educated problem solvers. Meaning people not like you.

Because there can never be too many people.

If forky ever left his basement he would know that the above statement is still true in 2015 for NYC

There was a time when New York City was quite livable, . . . even inviting:

Strawman much?

Of course lots of people would like to see the distribution of very cheap or free birth control, especially women. Of course one of the biggest thought leaders of the Republican Party would refer to them as "sluts."
