Two Police Officers Shot in Ferguson, Mo.

Continue to ignore the truth, and the black community will continue with fatherless children, poor grades, poor work attendance, and high crime rates. This stuff is not only accepted in black neighborhoods, it's encouraged.

Of course you don't see it - probably because you are a part of it. WHite people that subscribe to Jim Crowe era propaganda like the underlined sentence above don't realize the racial divide in our country is fueled, in part, by such propaganda. Its the kind of thing that makes a white police department oppress a black community - and feel justified doing it....

And that's why people like Boilerman and DonDIego can easily see the injustice of a black citizen shooting a white cop in Ferguson....but cant bring themselves to see the racist, oppressive practices of cops in that same community. They have a hard time talking about it - or even acknowledging it exists. its so much easier to justify it by painting the black community with an anecdotal video.
And this is all subsidized by OUR government through food stamps, Medicaid, payments for not working, and even more money for the birth of more children to unwed mothers.....

WE the taxpayers, should be proud of what WE are funding.

Your aware that numerically speaking there are millions of more white people on government programs than black people, and the number of white people on those programs as a percentage of the overall white population is growing not declining. So I'd suggest to you and Boiler that you investigate why there are so many whites on these programs. I'd also suggest it isn't a culture problem with the black or white population. It is a lack of economic opportunity problem.

Meanwhile in Indianapolis, . . . the Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify the motive behind this violent attack upon a young lady and her brother in a public park.

Somewhere in Indianapolis

DonDiego thinks he knows, . . . maybe not the motive, . . . but the reason, now applicable to young men and young women:
"A community that allows a large number of young men to grow up in broken families, dominated by women, never acquiring any stable relationship to male authority ... that community asks for and gets chaos."
__Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY)

[If the reader supposes this post and video do not apply to this thread, . . . DonDiego suggests he reconsider his opinion.]

I didn't see the specifics of the perp's family background anywhere in the video.

Did Senator Moynihan research what happens to a community when parents teach their kids to ignorantly paint with stereotypes instead of getting facts? Maybe that community would look something like 1950's Selma...or present day Appalachia.

But its true that Indianapolis has its fair share of broken families. Perhaps the state government should stop meddling with access to contraception and Planned Parenthood so as to prevent children from being born into dysfunctional families. I invite DonDiego to send a letter to Governor Pence and former Governor Daniels.

Most of us here are white guys how about we talk about the problems with our white culture?

I've gotta agree with boiler here. Try and recognize where the problems actually lie. Problems with our white culture? Can you be more specific MAL, what problem am I having with my culture? Don't even need to be specific, I didn't know I had any problems.

Mal just doing what he and his ultra liberal cohorts do best - divert, change the topic. This thread is about 2 police officers being ambushed - not about the not cited problems in the white community.

__DonDiego is not aware of the specifics of the assailant's family background or that of the unidentified person making the video. Poor old DonDiego is only trying to understand what would motivate such behavior. And, thanks to Senator Moynihan's comments as to why the Welfare State seemed likely to fail, DonDiego opined that perhaps the "perp", as pjstroh put it so colloquially, was the product of the chaos/lawlessness which results from the conditions which Senator Moynihan suggested. The assailant appeared Black, and based upon her vocabulary poor old DonDiego opined the videographer was also likely Black.
It could be something entirely different, . . . perhaps the assailant is simply a psychopath or even just evil.

__Senator Moynihan did not address parents teaching their offspring to paint stereotypes. He did conclude in 1965 in his The Negro Family: The Case for National Action that "family structure" was the primary predictor of social outcomes. Then as now Black families were more likely broken and Blacks committed more crime proportional to their fraction of the population. But pjstroh need not be concerned, . . . the White families, and everyone else, . . . except pr'bly them pesky Asians, . . . are catching up in the illegitimate children statistics.

__DonDiego is unlikely to initiate any correspondence with Governors Pence and Daniels. Poor old DonDiego likes to keep a low profile. That's why he restricts his comments to an obscure web-site likely not read by anyone in a position of authority.

For where a Society heading in this direction ends up, DonDiego refers pjstroh to the prescient motion picture Idiocracy; heck fire, it even predicted that 'merica'd have a Black President.

For the record DonDiego opposes racist practices by any member or group or any color or mix-of-colors or any blood-line or mix-of-bloodlines. This does not preclude DonDiego from hating the despicable Cowboys of the NFL; association with the Cowboys is voluntary.

P.S Maybe this thread should just become the one-and-only "political thread" allowed on LVA, . . . since everything's beginning to end up here anyway.

Perhaps DonDiego could rename this "The one and only political thread allowed on LVA" for the sake of clarity.

Not without guidance from the appropriate authority, . . . or, perhaps, a popular vote, . . . or cash.

Maybe you could set up an electoral college.

Yeah, I think I'd rather vote than send money to "DonDiego, somewhere in Appalachia."
