Wow. This guy's world has come crashing down. He gets cut by the Dolphins, VH-1 cancelled the reality show, and now his wife files for divorce. I just watched a replay of Episode 1 of Hard Knocks last night. Chad was in a lot of scenes. We also got to meet his wife.

According to the Associated Press, Evelyn Lozada filed for divorce on Tuesday from free-agent receiver Chad Johnson. They were married on July 4.
Lozada also issued a statement saying that Johnson “needs help.” She also said that Johnson lied to police when he claimed that Lozada head-butted him, not vice-versa.
The head butt, regardless of who initiated it, caused a gash approximately three inches in length on Lozada’s forehead. Johnson faces assault charges.
That may be all we say about Chad, at least for the immediate future. He’s not relevant to the NFL until he’s back in it.
Then again, the manner in which he exited the Dolphins will have echoes and ripples that need to be considered. Especially if/when he ever says anything publicly about the arrest.
The fact that he’s been completely silent for three days perhaps remains the most fascinating aspect of the situation.
