That would make too much sense! LOL

GEEZ,i'm sorry i started this now,but i'll (hopefully) finish with last 2 thoughts. Rizzo, i think it would be odd to show up at any of those sites and bring up an automoblie.I'm smart enough to differentiate the two.

TG,i don't really love talking about anything in particular unless it's currently really important in my life at the time, right now that happens to be key west. My wife really wants to go and it sounds like cool trip this year, but i do keep abreast of all things currently going in in life in general. I even started a thread on it and got some great information and opinions and even some info mailed to me by one of the members. It doesn't mean i don't i like talking about all aspects of my life or others, but all in moderation. If i'm at a cocktail party and somebody starts droning on and on incessantly about ANY topic(particulary politics) i will walk away and avoid them from then on at all costs. Same goes on the net,but the net is much easier fortunately. When it's a discussion between civilized ,intellgent folks i'm interested .When it becomes an "arguement",then it denegrates into worthless drivel and is useless,i run.

Thats all,i don't think i can be any clearer than that. If you guys don't like me,please just me on ignore,i won't be offended in the least.

Over and out, JOHN

Try Politics on The Rex Forums...

jatki, I was in no way suggesting you or anyone leave. You would not have to leave to start a Google group to discuss politics.
Geezy peezy. Chill

I'll add my two cents.

Many "Friends" like to talk about topics like sports, gambling, sex, religion, and politics. I consider many of the people here to be "friends" even though I haven't met many of you.

We talk about the first three topics pretty well and I enjoy the humorous exchanges. However, the "owners" have prohibited political discussiosn on the free side even though they are tolerated on the paid side.

The owners make the rules and I understand that. This customer wishes they would start a Political section for these types of discussions. It has been suggested many times before and always fallen on deaf ears.
The owners make the rules here, and I understand that. And referring to other participants here as "douches" is considered acceptable behavior. I bet "slut" would be okay too!
I still don't understand why person A would call person B a douche or a douche bag. Am I a douche or a douche bag for not understanding this particular insult? Can someone please explain it to me? Is it insulting because of the embarrassment factor?

DonDiego's definition merely confuses the issue for me. How is a douche any more brainless than, say, a tampon? Is douche somehow a worse slur than tampon?

Also, if douche is bad, why is the accounting firm still called Deloitte and Touche? It's very close to toilet and douche.
Posit that 4 doucebags and 3 dopes walk into a bar to discuss politics. What is probability that one of them drives a Chevy Volt?
Douches have a proud hisotry in politics. South Park can fill you in...
