She's thinking: Good Gawd, I wonder if it's protected with Scotchgardâ„¢?

That show is so fake. I can't even stand to watch it.

I watched the show for the first time tonight. Your comment hit it right on the nose. He was receiving instructions when performing casino duties, obviously staged.

How can they have conversations with camera views from many different angles. While riding to deliver cut flowers on her break, they had several camera angles showing them in the vehicles, even from two outside front shots.

I interact with many veterans and have yet to have one voluntarily mention having been wounded or treated for PTSD.

As the OP I of course watched it myself. I was surprised how small the check-in line was. They must have filmed at a very odd hour because I have seen that lobby slammed quite often. Interesting that the new upgraded system is slower than the old one.
I am sure that the reason for multiple cameras is that an announcement was made to everyone -- employees, players -- that they were filming for a reality show. This was put in the "set up" of each program.

I remember being at Caesars when they were shooting Caesars 24/7. There were multiple cameras, signs posted telling everyone what was going on, and everyone just acted naturally and didnt bother with the cameras.

TV cameras and video is so pervasive in our society now -- we've all seen "tv news cameras" around -- that we've become pretty much immune to their "presence."

Im not surprised that they (the producers) can pull this off.

The show could have been unstaged, but obviously someone in each department involved in the show was assigned to choose an employee who would present MGM in the best possible light. It was essentially a one-hour commercial for MGM Grand.
Isn't fun just to see the action . I find more comical than anything . I agree I would have loved to see the $20 trick An argument about resort fees .
If it were really an undercover exercise to improve the MGM, why didn't they address issues like: the decline in housekeeping and the filthy machines, lack of cocktail waitresses, kids running amok w/o supervision, people basically having sex in the pools and lazy river, I could list more. I used to love the MGM Grand and am really sad to see how it declined. Who knows, maybe this "new" COO will turn it around?
First and foremost, this was an ENTERTAINMENT program and not a news investigation of the MGM. Of course the MGM wanted to be presented in a positive way, and of course the employees showcased were hand picked. And in the edit room they decided what to use and what not to use. It would not surprise me if during the shooting a guest did say something negative that was intentionally removed during editing.

You never will. (at least the real ones) Those who brag about what happened in battle are the fakes.
Reality TV...Duh!! And yet I find it so surprising that some folks think this is for real. Yeah, like camera crews just happen to follow around certain people. I will admit, I watched the latter shows of the 1st Top Chef-Masters, just because I'm a fan of Rick Bayless and he won the $100,000 for his charity. We've dined at Frontera Grill and Topolobampo. The best Mexican food in the country.
