Yep. Nope. Is "dodging" your word of the day?

My Word of the Day is "dude".

Gosh, I thought that vacant GM plants could only sit vacant for decades. This can't be true.

Just an FYI on GM plants.

We have several in our area and most have already been taken over by other businesses. The total number of jobs is a tad lower than when GM was still in the plants. One of the racinos is being built on the site where one GM plant was located.

Yep, the city has made it a priority to get somebody...anybody to use those plants.

John, I'm not sure about Morine. It's close to a funeral home.... retire and prepay your funeral all on the same street.
GM closed a plant in tarrytown, several hundred units of housing a park and a marina was built on the site

Pretty much exactly what Romney, Ryan, and all their fans here predicted in President Obama's second term with Obamacare in full effect.
The unemployment rate reduction is due to people dropping out of the workforce. The workforce participation rate dipped again to 62.8%. It was 65.7% when obama took office and it was a steady 66% when President Bush was in office.

If the workforce participation rate was 65.7% the unemployment rate would be in the 9% range

No it wasn't. It fell throughout President Bush's term term, from 67.2% to 65.7% and then dramatically in the immediate wake of the disaster he left to President Obama.

Workforce participation rate has been falling for 15 years as the baby boomers age and leave the workforce.

President Obama's good, but he can't stop the aging process.

Nevertheless, I'm glad you've found another reason to be miserable at this positive economic news for America.
That "job killing healthcare law" is really taking a toll, isn't it?

I said it was a steady 66% for his term. It didn't start to decline until the last few months of his term. Your article is wrong. While the number of people reaching 65 has increased it has nothing to with the %.

Workforce participation rate is 16 to 64. That % has declined while Obama has been president.

. . .

Workforce participation rate is 16 to 64.

Bullshit.

From BLS:

It's impossible to reason with people who have no grasp of reality (as I apparently need to learn here over and over again).
