Actually, she was pointing out that for racism to die out, racists have to die out: "There are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die."
Marinated? Do you think she was talking about Paula Deen?
Anyway, racists (NOT old people) dying out (due to natural causes!) is a good thing. Plus the generation that is replacing them is much more likely to speak more than one language, and much less likely to need a lot of sunscreen.
