Unemployment inaccurate?

What o&g subsidy?

The fossil fuel industry is one of the fastest growing parts of the economy.

Solar energy gets govt loans and tax credits.
Germany has lead the way in Europe on renewable energy. Anyone who understand the industry knew that their electricity costs would skyrocket, and guess what............Germany's electricity costs have skyrocketed. They are now backing away from solar and wind.

California leads the way in the US on renewables, and guess what..........California's electricity costs are twice as costly as electricity in my home state of Indiana.

Renewables are fabulously expensive. Those promoting these projects NEVER include the cost of the gas powered plant which must be built for $3 billion dollars and sit idle until nightfall, or until the wind stops blowing. They want to claim that this expense should be born by the gas electricity producer, and not the wind and solar producer.

Be brave enough to embrace the truth.

Why is the US still subsidizing oil & gas companies with record profits while sustainable energy isn't?

I just finished watching a PBS show called "We’ve Got the Power" which shows viewers how the United States can replace fossil fuels with clean energy in a way that is economically beneficial to consumers and businesses alike, and ensures a safer environment for future generations.

It shows a solar power plant in Spain built with American engineered technology (before the US went to a functional/commercial scale) funded in part by the UAE (I believe), one of the oil producing countries.

Maybe without the oil & gas subsidies the economy would change.

Okay, politicos, argue.

If you live in Oklahoma you now pay a tax if you put Solar Panels on your roof...its the Koch Brothers at work in a state where the politicians are in their back pocket.

Oklahoma taxes solar power

Dude, who are they running against?

Just an FYI on GM plants.

We have several in our area and most have already been taken over by other businesses. The total number of jobs is a tad lower than when GM was still in the plants. One of the racinos is being built on the site where one GM plant was located.

Is that huge part of the plant still up down in Morain? the one that made the S-10 pickups. That place was a monster.
And your answer to my question is what?

Also, I always think of the movie Dumb and Dumber when I see you write "dude". How old are you, Forkie?

Gosh, I thought that vacant GM plants could only sit vacant for decades. This can't be true.

Would I vote for a socialist? Maybe. Would I vote for a Republican? Maybe. Would I vote for a Democrat. Maybe.

If any of the above are running against someone who believes in police racial profiling - like you - or advocates idiot wars against Iraq an Iran - like you - or who likes deregulating Wall Street - like you - or who thinks sick poor people should be left to die - like you - I'd vote for any of the above in a flash.
Has Forkie vote for a Republican? Has Forkie ever voted for a Socialist? Dodging again, I see.
