Germany has lead the way in Europe on renewable energy. Anyone who understand the industry knew that their electricity costs would skyrocket, and guess what............Germany's electricity costs have skyrocketed. They are now backing away from solar and wind.
California leads the way in the US on renewables, and guess what..........California's electricity costs are twice as costly as electricity in my home state of Indiana.
Renewables are fabulously expensive. Those promoting these projects NEVER include the cost of the gas powered plant which must be built for $3 billion dollars and sit idle until nightfall, or until the wind stops blowing. They want to claim that this expense should be born by the gas electricity producer, and not the wind and solar producer.
Be brave enough to embrace the truth.

I just finished watching a PBS show called "We’ve Got the Power" which shows viewers how the United States can replace fossil fuels with clean energy in a way that is economically beneficial to consumers and businesses alike, and ensures a safer environment for future generations.
It shows a solar power plant in Spain built with American engineered technology (before the US went to a functional/commercial scale) funded in part by the UAE (I believe), one of the oil producing countries.
Maybe without the oil & gas subsidies the economy would change.
Okay, politicos, argue.
