Unidentified Flying Objects

Kelton Research has recently polled the American public on UFOs for the National Geographic Channel in anticipation of their new TV show "Chasing UFOs".

Some results:

__ 38% of Americans believe UFOs are real. That'd be 80-million people.

____ One in 10 have seen an alien spacecraft.

__To the question of whether they believe aliens have visited Earth, 36% of Americans who were surveyed said they do, 48% aren't sure, and 17% said they don't believe so.

__More than three in four Americans (77%) think there are signs that suggest aliens have visited the Earth.

__79% of people think the government has kept information about UFOs a secret from the public, and more than half (55%) believe there are real-life "Men in Black"-style agents who threaten people who spot UFOs.

__If confronted by an alien:
•22% would try to befriend the alien
•15% would run away
•13% would lock their doors
• 2% would try to inflict bodily harm
["defecating in one's pants" was apparently not given as an option. - DD]

So what would the readers of LVA do if confronted by an alien?

Oh, and what the heck ever happened to DonDiego's reality-based National Geographic?
Would capturing an alien and displaying it in a traveling road show be illegal?

I think it would need to be deported
I would shake his hand and ask if he planned to run for re-election.

That's a lie. Anyone living in a swing state is reminded 150 times daily that he's running, 100 of which call him an alien or make some other equally absurd negative claim.

And so our thread begins its descent into the pit of politics.

I too would shake "its" hand 1st.

Then I'd ask if its sticking around & if so does it have health insurance ?

That NatGeo series starts Friday night at 9 pm and is a two hour special. Looking forward to watching it. I would try to befriend them, and see if they could give me a cure for cancer!
Invite him in to break bread and share a mug of mead of course!

Live long and prosper
Take him to Las Vegas!!!!
I would attempt to bond with a song:

oo ee oo ah ah
ching chang walla walla bing bang
oo ee oo ah ah ching chang walla walla bing bang

It'd have to appreciate this and feel right at home
bardolator2 must be off his medications.
Nothing political was stated, implied, or suggested until bardolator2's post.
DonDiego is mystified, . . . and annoyed.
