Update Adobe Flash On All Your Computers Now!

This is important enough for its own thread.

A company that produces spyware for governments (including ours) got hacked and their product got posted on the Internet. That is most likely the source of today’s troubles. Update Adobe Flash on all of your computers. NOW!

Just a quick reminder to UNCLICK the box that says do you want to install Mcafee virus protection, before you install the update. This makes me so mad when companies do things like that.

Sooo..what or how am I supposed to do this? let's pretend I don't know squat about computers. I HAVE done the adobe "updates" before an it's toatally screwed up my computer, couldn't watch zit popping on you tube or anything.

Me too. The last time I upated Adobe whatever to be able to get something, I had to re-set too many things. Never again. Our identities are all over the place anyway.

We are doomed no matter what.

I saw only 2 check boxes to UN CHECK.
You may choose to un install Adobe completely B-4 you install the newer version.

NEVER do the express install for any download. Do advance install.That allows you to uncheck a LOT of boxes of crap that you don't need.
Read the fine print AND the license agreement-Sometimes,the bastard extras are in there.
Been there.
5 minute install,1/2 hour to get the weird pop ups and quick launch icons OUT of your computer.
Virus scans ignore some of these rogue programs.

Google Chrome is a NASTY one to download-watch it!

Would it be better to uninstall Adobe altogether?

I took out java and put it back in.

Just pay attention when you download stuff.
Get your anti-virus up to date and if you screw up,go to system restore.
3 times in 4 months I HAD TO.
It wasn't porn related,it was a media player problem.

BTW-uninstall Java and put it back in.
Too many holes in the older versions.
When you do it correctly,you will get an Icon off of your start menu.
