Update on the 3rd largest casino in the world.

The sign for Winstar says the second largest casino. I love leaving the Dallas area with my money and giving it to Oklahoma. Really Texas, get with it and figure it out!!!!!
GOOD BLOODY GOD!!!!

Sorry people, there is no casino in Oklahoma anywhere near the top 100 in size. Then again, if you lived there 2 slot machines at the local 7-11 would pass for a "casino".

This is Oklahoma for the uninitiated...Jesus, range land, tornado, Oklahoma City, Jesus, farmland, Jesus, tornado, Tulsa, farmland, tornado, Jesus.

And why the hell does every house there seem to have one of those above ground, Intex, inflatable ring swimming pools that they sell at Wal-Mart for $299???

I'll take OK over fading, failing, freak infested Mexifornia 10 days out of 10.

Wife and I driving from northern Oklahoma to Austin a couple of weeks ago, we decided to stop at every casino we came to. Some were just slot houses with no table games. Some would rival Vegas casinos. Some had no ante per hand on the table games while others had an ante. Winstar was the last one we stopped at before crossing into Texas. It was big, busy with charter buses unloading and loading. They always have an ante on their table games. The free play for new club members has to be earned with points, ( a sucker play). The rest of the casinos gave 5 to 15 free play just for signing up. There are much better casinos in Oklahoma than the Winstar as far as being player friendly. Bigger doesn't mean better. I have friends who reccommend the Poker and Black jack tournaments at the Winstar which has sizable purses.

How close is the third-largest casino to the world's second-largest ball of yarn?

The largest casino in the United States, . . . and third largest in the world, . . . is the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut with 340,000 square feet, 400 tables, and 7000 machines.

No Oklahoma casino cracks the top 20; of course, the Thackerville, Oklahoma operation is under construction.

Where's Mohegan Sun, CT on the list of Top 20 Biggest Casinos? I believe it's nearly as big as Foxwoods.
Another Source <<<This lists Win Star: "The casino's 442,000 square foot gaming space features 6,771 gaming machines and 115 table and poker games. The property has nine restaurants, one bar and two hotels with 495 rooms. "

List of largest casinos and casinos with loosest slots? I'm skeptical of both.

Did you really say " ONE BAR? That just can't be possible unless it's the largest bar in the world!

I didn't say ONE BAR? Bags. The provided link said Win Star has only one bar. I'm sure it has more.
It makes my point, claims of casinos size and amenities vary by source. There's three links on this thread showing the variance.

I think what you are referring to is largest ball of "twine"! With the dry weather they probably don't let you within a city block for fear seeing their "attraction" go up in smoke. hehehehe

twine ball is in kansas, not sure on the city however errrr village

It's in Cawker City, KS and according to Mapquest it's 453 miles from the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, OK.

I don't know where Winstar falls on the Biggest Lists.
But I do know they have some very good vp progressive games at the 50c and $1 levels at the Rome and London bars.

vpfree2 Winstar

Some times size matters, other times not so much.
