And poor old DonDiego understands how this burden must've weighed upon alanleroy, who devoted himself to providing this joy to others, . . . with little or no compensation. How serving as Commissioner could cause one to feel responsible for all the discomfort, . . . and, yes, even pain, . . . inflicted upon those unable to compete successfully.
But DonDiego reminds alanleroy that the competition also brought ecstasy and rapture to, for example, the winner, . . . like DonDiego in the 2011-2012 Season.
But, hey, . . . if alanleroy refuses, DonDiego is certain the LVA members will bear him no rancor, just because he takes away the spirited competition in which all true Americans thrive. Nope. What is important is to permit alanleroy to refuse to provide anyone, anywhere any fun, . . . at all.
DonDiego counsels all LVA members to allow alanleroy to shirk his duty freely, purposefully, and without restraint. One should not express any bitter feelings toward him at the loss of another annual tradition just because it is all alanleroy's fault.
DonDiego says let him be. Allow him to sulk in his own evil bitterness. His life must truly be sad.

Lest we forget...it is none other than the poster known as 'Teechur' who started this event and who tirelessly served several years as Commisioner. She was a Hall of Fame Commissionioner whom I strove to emulate.
Perhaps DonDiego holds some sway with this poster and can convince her to come out of retirement. Be sure to remind her how we were all willing to "allow her to shirk her duty, freely, purposefully, and without restraint"....Let her know that the league needs her to step up to the goalposts once more as AlanLeroy decided to walk away while on top...with last year's near record 38 participants.
If not Teechur or DonDiego, Perhaps NESALK can rise to this challenge.
