I didn't watch the video, but as long time road warriors to business class hotels we take a few precautions.
My parents live in a small town and they spent like 5 grand to have the house debugged. My dad is a clean freak. Not sure if one came from hotel or from the kids having sleepovers. It hit our town bad a few years back regardless of lifestyle. People do have baby mamma and daddy issues.
That being said, a few things we now do.
Luggage and clothing goes on top of dressers only. Not on floor or beds.
Upon returning home, my mom allows no luggage in the house. It goes in garage and she puts it all, clean and dirty, trough the dryer. Heat is supposed to kill it.
Lol, all this reminds me of our poor years and she making my aunt (who had an issue w roaches at her cheap apartment complex) shake the dirty laundry on the porch before being allowed to do it in the house.
We also have a hairbrush rule due to head lice. My sister is a teen. Her friends think our house rules are hilarious, but they follow them and come back. Lol.
So glad I am not a parent to deal with this stuff. My mom goes on the war path. I guess five kids over forty years will do that.
I know some people w custody issues, and upon walking in the door, it is "routine" to go straight to tub and clothes straight to wash.
So those are my moms bug free tips from experience. Lol.
