Where do you find the VP strategy cards and how much do they cost?

I "made my own" by printing them out. Sites like the Wizards, etc have the information.

Putting $20 into a VP machine while having a couple of beers is not gambling. Worst case is that my $20 will pay for my beers. Best case is that I'll get my $20 back and my beers will be free. I can go into my regular pub at home and my favorite bartender might buy me a beer. That's not gambling, either.

You can frequently find the strategy cards at the casino gift shop for a buck or two.

4 Queens and Circus Circus have it in their packets for new players club members. Otherwise, look in the gift shops. They run a buck or 2.

Btw, if you have them, use 'em. Don't worry about anyone watching you use them because that's what they are there for. I use mine for BJ all the time, as I don't play it normally.

They sell them in the LVA store at the top of this page. Just be sure you have the right card for the game you play. A generic VP card would be worthless.

Hate to break the news: You Gamble.
Example:
That is like someone ordering a beer, just because it is on sale, not because they want to drink it.

A little hard to believe...............just sayin

It's all relative. I gamble the same as KP. When I tell "real" gambler my limits and budget, they tell me, "Man, you don't gamble."

They don't care. I want to try using one in a live poker game.
The wannabes all have PokerStove on their phones now.
I was playing at Aria a few days ago and there was a bit of a stir when one player was working on a small tablet PC at the same time he was in a hand. But prior to the stir he had a tendency to take longer than anyone else to make a decision.

Nah...It's more like my friend Robin who drinks 2 beers a year saying he's not really a drinker.

I gamble just getting out of bed each morning. Driving across town to the office is a bigger risk and more potential of a life changing event than putting $20 into a VP machine. So, yes, wagering $20 in the hopes of getting a free beer is gambling.

But the question in the other thread was how you explain to non-Vegas people about the lure of Vegas and gambling, and my explanation is that my pace and limits are so slow and small that it is no different than a night at the pub including that you may get a couple of free beers when it's time to settle up.

Back on topic - the comment above about making sure you get the right strategy card for the right game is important. I stick to Jacks or Better (JoB) which is a simple game, easiest to learn, low volatility, and therefore widespread and popular. The cards should be easy to find as well.
