I will be in Vegas 7/27-8/3 and this is my vacation , I would not worry about getting home untill the time comes and they say NO FLIGHTS. I could come home to no social security check buy hey at least I'm alive and kicking and had a hell of a good time in Vegas. We have no control over the situation what happens happens. Enjoy your self Don't cancel your trip "Ya just never know what kind of curvball God is going to throw you" RELAX , GAMBLE ,EAT, GAMBLE, PARTY, GAMBLE!!!!!!
Per your request snidely, see link

Trip plan July 2011

Ignore the spelling errors.
There is in no doubt that the government has robbed the social security fund but do not let the politicians rob you of a scheduled vacation. The biggest thief is a politician and inflation.
Have you been to Vegas before?

Just a few comments:

McMullan's is across the street from Orleans. I like McMullan's a lot. Very nice people. Fish and chips or Sheppard's pie are excellent.
Wichcraft is way in the back of MGM. It's a long walk for a sandwich unless you're going to hang out in MGM.
Texas de Brazil is excellent. Never heard of via Brazil.
Canal Street at Orleans is not open every night so call ahead to get their schedule.
I've been to MGM to see the lions about 8 times day and night. Never seen them active once. Hope you have better luck.
You won't miss much if you skip Sam's Town or La Bayou.
I'd rather go have a beer at Hogs and Heifers downtown than visit Pawn Stars.

We were in Las Vegas when the planes hit the World Trade Center Tuesday 9/11.
No planes flew anywhere for several days.

Supposed to fly home on Thursday 9/13.
First flight out for us was Monday 9/17. Four extra nights.
Harrah's said no problem, because nobody was flying in either.
Four extra nights, no charge. Of course they knew I would keep gambling LOL.
Not exactly a cause for celebration, but they took care of people really well.
ive never heard of the $100 cosmopolitan deal at all, so thanks for posting that.

as far as the budget thing, as has been stated before, dont worry about it.
Snidely, thanks for the confirmation on McMullan's will be staying at Orleans so will try to drop by. On Witchcraft want to try it sometime since I like Tom Colicchio from Top Chef. May do StripSteak instead.

I always have more places to eat than I can fit in. Usually do a breakfast buffett and then a nice dinner the first few days. Then tend to wind down and eat lighter the last few days.

I got to vegas about three times per year, low roller vp player and BJ if the dealers are in skimpy outfits.
Don't drink or somke so don't club or bars. Try to break up the gambling with other activities to make the money last longer.

Only care about the lions if they have cubs, supposed to be several months old now, more teenagers rather than cubs. When they have cubs they will let you pet them and I want to do that some time.

Boyds has been very nice to me considering my low roller play and I like Sams Town so may stop there if out that way.

Pawn Stars fan and have an Item I want to see if they will buy.

Durham, thanks for the suggestions, I am over 50 so qualify for the 50 plus club at the M. They give me a 50% off on the buffett, but it's really crowded on Wednesday so may not go. Or may go for breakfast. They have gone down a bit from when they first opened but still a nice buffett.

The IMAX is more a way to break up my gambling and make the money last longer. Plus I don't go to may moves at home as I have a theater room. So just something different to do.

As to the HH, I have a groupon for IP, may not even bother, it's just on the list. I am put off by the portion sizes as I hate to waste food.

Will make sure to go to the both before starting gambling.
The Cosmo offer ends on July 31st.
