Vegas For The Holidays? Hmmm

My latest Vegas Bright article...

Vegas for the Holidays???
Very nice.

You are becoming quite the travel writer. Keep it up.
Thank you for the kind words....
It would be lovely to do a family trip over the holidays!! For many years, I had the pleasure of celebrating Thanksgiving in Atlantic City with my husband and my parents. We had a great time!! I'll keep those memories forever, as I am the last one standing.

My bucket list has NYE in Vegas on it. I'm going to do my best to make that happen, even if I have to go alone. Not this year, maybe next.

Very nice article!

For a number of years, husband and I have alternated doing Christmas week or Thanksgiving week in Las Vegas. We loved it, mainly due to slower crowds.
Plus...I'd be spared from the big cooking expected at one of the holidays.

However, those weeks have become increasingly crowded.

I suppose others caught onto my holiday MIA trick

So now, back to the big cooking and family fellowship for both.
While we have never been to LV Christmas week, we did just return from a four night stay (Dec 7-11) when the city was in Christmas-mode--as well as yee-haa cowboy-mode since the rodeo was in town. One reason the wife wanted to go was to see the Bellagio Conservatory where they had a wonderful holiday display--very well done. Fremont had a 20ft tree, nicely decorated. And the Christmas music mingled with the country western bands in every lounge. Had a great time.

But we are still hosting a group of twelve children, spouses, and grandchildren for Christmas dinner, so we didn't manage to avoid that.
