vegas solo ?

other than locals and semi locals who goes to las vegas by them selves and how was it going solo ?
sorry double post
Great!! I've made 3 trips by my lonesome and had a great time.

Nice this is there is NO ONE to slow you down or to rush you. A turtle or bunny you can be 'cause there's no one there to mess with you. I think I'm one a few people to acquire every players card on the strip and downtown in 2 trips.
I almost always go solo. I have a great time but usually just gamble to excess and drink. I usually drive around and do coupon runs and people watch. Have fun and enjoy Vegas solo.

Going solo is great, you get to do what you want when you want.

It gets a little lonely at the end of the night (I gotta admit, I start missing my sweetie) but an occasional solo trip is a lot of fun.
I used to do all my Vegas solo. Now I fly out solo and meet up with a bunch of friends. When I have had someone fly out with me and stay with me, I always felt like I was sort of responsible for them having a good time. I like the way I do it now, because I can still do what I want to do when I want to do it, but I can usually find someone to have a meal or a drink with.

I may do another completely solo trip later this year.
Although I do have a group of friends that I usually travel to Vegas with, I also take a couple solo trips a year, fitting them in here & there at the last minute if my work schedule permits. I absolutely LOVE going on my own for the same reasons previous poster's have mentioned - no one to slow you down, no need to make sure you are doing things the other people are interested in, and the ability to have a totally "me" oriented schedule! What a treat!
You can get excellent last minute tickets to many of the best shows in town when you only need a single seat. I've also met many great people in restaurants while dining solo - seems like someone is always willing to start a conversation and often they will ask you to join them!
Vegas is one of the few places that are just perfect for the solo visitor. Since groups that travel there together are often separated anyway due to their individual interests, it is quite common to see a single person dining, attending shows, sitting at a casino table, etc. You won't feel out of place at all.
As a woman, it is one of the places where I feel quite safe being out and around at all hours of the day or night. I do exercise common sense & choose my routes with attention to remaining in busier areas and I will take a cab if I don't feel comfortable walking in certain areas. As a result, I've had minimal issues with personal safety while on my own.

Edited to add: Another bonus is that the time share folks leave you alone when you're solo - they always zero in on the couples!
All of my trips have been solo since I started going in 2004. Love it. Do some serious gambling, catch an occasional show (all but 1 was comped), enjoyed suites and limo rides to/from airport on a couple of trips and did a few side trips (Red Rock Canyon for one). As the others have said, I like the freedom to go at my own pace.
Most of my trips have been solo. I love the freedom to sleep in and do what I want, when I want. Also, member meets are great when I want to hang out with people.
