vegas solo ?

Did my first solo to Vegas last year. The missus has had enough of Vegas. Not me! It's great, you get to do what you want to, indulge.
I'm heading out a few days before my brother. He's not a big gambler, so I can get th at out of the way before he lands and we do more touristy stuff. Plus, it'll give me time to get my tolerance level up. My brother is a beer snob and we'll be hitting a few bars looking for the best suds.
Did a 7 day solo trip once, walking around and eating alone got old pretty quick for me, not sure I'd do it again.
I've made many trips with my wife and 1 trip alone. The things I liked seemed less fun without someone to share them with, and the things that annoyed me stayed with me alot longer. I'm just not the type to strike up conversations with strangers, so I spent 4 days in a crowd not talking to anyone. It really depends on who YOU are as to whether solo is better or not.

My last trip I had the first 3.5 days alone before someone else came. I like the freedom of coming and going to the casinos when you want. Not trying to be on the same eat schedule is nice also. Would do it again if no one else is available to go.
Generally go solo and usually have a good time. Only times I wish someone was along is for eating and catching shows, I find gambling more enjoyable going solo.

I think I agree with this. I've had two trips where I had three solo days before (or after) the rest of my party was with me, and it was beginning to be a bit much. I think two or three days solo has some good points, but much longer than that might be a bit much (for me, at least).

Go to:
Main Street Station (Triple 7 brewpub)
4 Queens (growlers to go at the Chicago Cigar Lounge)
Freakin's Frog (good draft and bottle selection; pricey)
Big Dogs (brewpub out in the burbs)
Tennaya Creek (brewery with bar out in the burbs)
The Orleans - Lounge Bar (lots of big IPAs and VP)

Avoid:
Ellis Island (brewpub with creap prices and bad beer)
Monte Carlo - The Pub (80 taps and $10 for a 14oz glass)
Yard House (100 taps of boring beer)

Almost all of my trips are week plus long solo trips with very loose itineraries. I love the freedom to go off with a book for an afternoon or stay up half the night at the tables without worrying about what everyone else wants to do. Shows are too expensive and 30 minutes at a buffet is all I need to recharge for the rest of the day.
I have been solo four times its great for a few days then I start to get a little lonely, I hate to eat alone.
I've logged dozens of trips to area code 702, usually for 10 or more days, spending lots of time with dear friends who have lived there for 20+ years and with other locals I've grown fond of over time. The concession I've made to my concerned-for-my-safety kids and loved ones is that I always get a rental car that is always valet parked. Hotel hopping from Red Rock to M Resort to Hard Rock to Green Valley to Palms is darn near impossible without a car and gives a gal the freedom to do all that "go where and when you want to" stuff. Trips with good friends is wonderful, too, but the freedom of visiting Vegas solo is joyous.
