Vegas trip for Oct. 5-10

We've been busy the past couple of weeks planning for a trip in early October. Things are starting to come together:
* Booked flights on SWA
Booked a 1 bedroom suite at Marriott Residence Inn (airport) thanks to the article in VegasBright. No
parking fees, no resort fees, no price increase for Friday and Saturday night stays, free breakfasts, plus it's
a brand new facility.
Bought show tickets for Lionel Richie.

* Need to get a car rented, but will wait till later to do that. Probably go with Budget for that.
Still need to decide on another thing or two to do--can't gamble all the time!!!!!!!!!!
We've been to Las Vegas many, many times in the past, but still find it's a fun place to visit
A perfect time to visit Vegas - we enjoy the weather during our October birthday trip every year. It's a good month for hiking Red Rock or Mt Charleston. If you're thinking about another show, Absinthe is closing out its run at Caesars on October 21. Jump on a decent rental car deal as soon as possible. We booked ours with Dollar back in May and prices have gone up steadily.....
Safe travels and good luck!
We always do our 4th quarter trip in October and its always the best weather of the 4 yearly trips. I booked my car rental back in March with Budget (FS for $149 total) and its gone up ever since...I would start checking now.
DO Costco or even Sam's Club for car rentals.
Budget is cool.
You can always change the reservation.
It's kinda fun to to do Priceline.

We have a double upgrade coupon with Budget which is good. So far the price for a compact is about $240 including all fees and pick up at the airport terminal. I've always heard that prices generally drop a few weeks before the rental dates. I don't know if that's true or not.
