Sheldon is a scumbag & is screwing us by not honoring previously booked & confirmed reservations. Right ???

Correct. A scumbag for pulling previously confirmed comp reservations (but 'kindly' offering to let people pay the casino rate instead), and a nitwit for not providing future comps for anyone but the highest of high rollers.

next up: moneyla discusses how selfish and unethical it is to increase your carbon footprint by posting from the airport.

Next up...Money La explains dice influencing, followed by a complete break down on "shadow cards" in Video Poker.

HAHA

Can we please be reminded one more time...which cards does he hold when dealt 3 aces and a 3 on the game TDB? LOL

To everyone who has a problem with the double booking issue:

It happens all the time, get over it.

Who does this dasterdly deed:

Airlines, hotels, and resturants to name a few.

Airlines do it all the time, remember the word STANDBY????? Hotels, have checkout/checkin times. So if you don't arrive by a certain time, guess what??? Either no room or you get what they give you.(if anything)Resturants very rarely have problems, food does that you know.

Note: the casinos don't give a sh!t if you double book. Their job is to get your a$$ in the casino and have you play there.

In the end, NOBODY gives a sh!t if one double books. Get over it!!!!!!!!!

We are currently at the airport but felt a need to reply to this post. so heres how this went down from the beginning. This offer popped into our in box in Sept. We were very surprised by it due to the length of the offer, up until April 1 of 2011. We called right away, didn't even just do it online and spoke with a customer service person and of course we asked the all important question are we blacked out from any dates and she answered with New Years eve only. Super Bowl weekend was a go, so we booked it received the confirmations (which we still have BTW) AND THOUGHT WERE GOOD TO GO. In Dec another prop that we play at offered us "The Big Game" whole works comped weekend which came with party Fri. night and of course the Big Game party on Sunday and 3 nights. Since we attended this weekend last year at this prop and had such a good time we decided to book it as well and wasn't it a damn good thing we did as it turned out! We figured we would offer one set of rooms to a friend or family and actually use the rooms at the Palazzo because it was right on the strip. The other prop that gave us the offer was yes, The Hilton and if you know anything about Vegas is well off the strip. so thats the whole story, BTW there was an excellent article in the business section of the Las Vegas sun on Fri. explaining the Sands new marketing stratedgy and its not good news for anyone who enjoyed actually gambling at those props.

Very happy you are here now, D...so you can speak for yourself! (Now go do the same at Trip Advisor...lol)

If a casino stopped offering me comps, I'd re-evaluate the situation and perhaps change my casino of choice. If a casino confirmed my comped reservation, then cancelled it, they've lost my gamble forever. If a lot of people re-act this way, P/V's action was very short-sighted. For a minimal short-term profit, they have eliminated their option of pursuing this group of players, perhaps forever, in case the business/convention trade doesn't pan out as hoped.

Completely agree, Oobie. That was one of the reasons I didn't go even though the host came up with something.

I'd much rather go to CET, where I'm treated royally, or give some play to the relative newbies in town--Cosmo and Aria.
I always advocate getting cash back and using all points before leaving, not "banking" any points for future use. I wonder if those with points may be in jeopardy of having the system revamped, the points devalued, or some other restructuring.

Anyone who is in Vegas and has points at V/P may want to consider using them ASAP. :::shurg:::

I too have been guilty of double booking rooms . I have several offers here and looked to see if it actually says you HAVE to sleep there. None of them do. I have either given the extra room to friends and family or used the room to take breaks from my casino play, catch a nap, order room service, or just freshen up. The room gets used and the casino gets my play. Nuff said.

Sorry but most of you are a bunch of Bonus Whores... Enjoy it while it lasts, its pretty dumb chasing around $100-$200 bonus's... No wonder most of you are complaining about resort fee's etc... they exist to stop the bonus whores...

I know someone personally who lives out east. Had a trip in vegas during a convention and played a lot, more than he could really afford. He kept getting tons of offers... He would book 2 - 3 at a time for free play of sometimes $3200 AND to have airfare reimbursed at arrival in cash! He would go collect the airfare, play the free money in slots or BJ, and go on to the next casino. He did this 3 times, now does not get a single offer. NOT A SINGLE OFFER.. Maybe for some BS Black Jack tournament, with $100 re-buys or something.

If you "double book" and play a good amount of your own money after the free play to meet the casino's expectations of your play during your stay for the offer, thats fine... But seems like a lot of hopping around, credit card deposits on multiple rooms, and running around dealing with taxi's or shuttle busses to go to the next location... YUCK! stay in one play, plant your ass at a machine and earn a bigger bonus / offer for the next trip at that one casino!

I hope the casino's crack down on bonus whores playing the bare minimum... Especially if they are sitting at a 100 play machine playing 1 credit 1 line... UGH that tilts me SOO HARD!

The offers don't say you HAVE to sleep there... but they expect you to STAY and PLAY or have some type of financial transactions with YOUR OWN MONEY (not free play) while you are staying...

obviously, people are playing with their own money above the free play or else they would not be getting the offers. to put it into the simplest of terms, since i sense you need it to be: DUH.
