Venetian/Palazzo RESCINDING offers that have already been booked!!!

I think the point is well put. traipsing all over town, getting credit card holds, spreading action among several casinos, not building up much comps at any one property, seems like quite a waste of time. how much time are you "bonus whores" (love that phrase) spending getting from hotel to hotel and at check-ins? damn, everyone's best advice is to concentrate your play at a property you like and build your comps there.

I get a hoot out of giving those "extra rooms" to a friend. yeah, thats the ticket!! are they playing with YOUR card?

yeah keep milking the system. you milked V/P dry and now look what youve got.

brilliant play.

bonus whores. LOLOLOLOL what a great phrase!!!!!!!!!!!!

you are posting on a board where many posters are at the top level of several different casinos. there are people here who are 7-stars at harrahs AND gold at venetian AND (insert level of other casinos etc).

what part of that are you not getting?

if people werent playing enough to be comped, they would not have gotten comped.

it just astounds me that people actually think that the venetian WAS offering comps to people who didnt play above free play and after all these years, they just NOW realized it and pulled the comps.

oh that venetian, they are so smart to pull all those comps! yay i hope they pull every comp because you are all bonus whores!!! in fact, they are SO good at business that for however many years they have been in business, they have been offering comps to people who played zero cash above their free play. and obviously they didnt play to get that free play since they are just bonus whores so the venetian was so smart to dole out freeplay for no reason at all! look at me! i posted on the internet!

YOU ARE RIGHT JEN BABY.. THE HIGH ROLLERS HAVE NUTTIN TO WORRY ABOUT. Its all the low life bonus whores who are getting it in the rear from adelbubby. let all those bonus whores stop whorin around and maybe they can get some respect from adelbubby. mr double bookin at the Hilton sure didnt. heh heh heh

thats just the beginning... no more whoring in sin city lololol
i really miss when this board was filled with knowledgeable and helpful people.

nowadays its so overrun with idiots and people who make up crap and attach it to the general public.

this is the sole reason why i am no longer a paying member. this board used to be worth more than its $37/year. now, not so much.
I just checked a couple of current offers and found in the small print:

Quote

Must be staying at xxxx casino to utilize any part of this offer
Quote

Must be staying in hotel to receive dining credit
Quote

Two night minimum stay required

I do not have any offers that are linked to free nights that include other bonuses that don't also state the the stay is required as part of the total deal. That is not to say they don't exist, just that the ones I currently hold have that limitation.

If the casino just wants your gambling action, and doesn't care if you stay in the hotel, why would they put that as part of the requirements for the offer?
I've even had a host tell me I could play half of what I was playing and still get the everything I was getting. I was getting the top mailer, RFB, gift shop stuff, whatever the hell I wanted. So basically, I was TOTALLY overplaying for what I was getting. According to you geniuses, that's what I should do, huh? But that casino only has so many restaurants and I get bored, so why should I limit myself? That's just stupid. I'm going to play X amount anyway and splitting it up in different places give me more for my money and still makes the casinos happy.

Also, I like playing at the Four Queens and enjoy a meal at Hugo's every now and then, but I don't want to stay in one of their rooms, so I give them the play for the top mailer and eat one meal there (I could give them the same amount of play and eat 3 meals a day comped there, but I don't). They benefit and I benefit.

I'm no longer 7 Stars at Harrah's because that level of play did not get the treatment it should have (they're great at player development, but once they have you they treat you like shit), but I am still diamond at Harrah's, I'm Platinum at MGM Resorts, and Platinum at Silverton. I spread my play around to some of the smaller places, too, just to have diversity in my Vegas trips.

I'm done trying to explain this to you. As Jenaphir said, "DUH".

So do comments like that make you one too? Don't take it any deeper than that because I do agree with you. And yes, it makes me an idiot. We all are in one way or another.

As far as this whole thread goes. I think it is unfortunate that they pulled that offer so close to the date. They clearly showed how much they care. I understand giving away great deals to get people to stay. I also understand reevaluating and making a decision that it was time to end the deal. It was the process that could have been done better. I do wonder how many people will truly stay away. I know some will but some won't. They will miss going there, go there for a show and then say what the heck I will gamble too. It is what it is.

I do agree that there are some "bonus whores" but I don't think that it includes everyone that double books. I thought this was true before I read that some on here are top level at several properties. I have not been around long enough to see back in the "good ole days" when players could get dinner comps easier by just asking the pit boss. I do think that brings up a good point though. Would it be better if it was like that? No one will ever know.

One last thing about this whole thread. I enjoy reading this board. This includes comments from "idiots" and "non idiots." Things to frustrate me on here but in the end I remember this...we are all human with our imperfect opinions and ways about going things. I am glad forums like this exist and in the end I wish that everyone on here would get the big wins and big comps but that's just not how it could work out in the end....and amazingly things almost always have a way of working out in the end.

its not comments like that that make me an idiot. its the fact i keep reading this board even though its overflowing with terrible posters who have nothing to contribute other than instant arguing over ANYTHING, whether or not they even have a vaild point.
