Venetian/Palazzo RESCINDING offers that have already been booked!!!

Thank you, Karen, Jenaphir, and Drmilled. Yes, my kids are adults (in their mid-40's). They have their lives, and I have mine. I worked hard for many, many years, and chose to retire to a place where I wouldn't have to shovel snow, lol. I am far from a degenerate gambler, BTW, lol. I work in a casino, but I gamble only once or twice a week, for smaller stakes than I did when I vacationed here.

I have no idea who this tomdoug person is or why he feels the need to be rude to me and other posters.

For once, I agree with you, drmilled. No excuse for his post/attack.

Don't encourage him. The sentiment was fine, but a punch in the mouth is not an argument, and a threat of physical violence is grounds for getting banned. This is not the first time he has suggested violence or even called someone out. I am surprised he is still here. It does not matter if he is defending you or somebody you like, or attacking someone you can't stand.

Venetian/Palazzo used to be a great place to play and to stay. Adelson is no dummy, but:

1) I hope others do not try to emulate him. Casino execs are copycats, but they aren't going to get a hotel deal like the one he got.

2) You don't put out an offer and then rescind it unless the patron has given you cause. Venetian has joined Caesars Palace on my list of places we used to love but will not go.

I've been one to call you rude, drmilled, but thank you for sticking up for Sue. I would have punched tomdoug in the mouth, too, if he had said that to her in person!

tomdoug -- you need to apologize. That was by far the most rude thing that's ever been posted here.

As for Tomdoug, I haven't been paying attention. Perhaps this person has some reason to be very sensitive about mothers abandoning children and jumped to a terribly wrong conclusion about Sue. He could feel awful about it now. Time will tell.

Well, I must say that I have not been on here for some time and this topic is of great fascination. I think in all fairness there are many sides. First, if Venetian wants to change their focus, its their business and they will reap or pay the benefits, whichever it may be. I myself am a Caesars guy and they have always been quite good to me whenever I asked for something they have obliged, from 2 or 3 extra tickets to the Big Game party to tough reservations at a restaurant, mving a room etc...I wil say they have gotten tougher/cheaper ( all depends on whether you have a motive for the choice of words) on the actual money or gift cards paid out. The only logical explantion is that they are doing better financially and as such can pay out less. If you do not like it, there are many other casinos who want your business and myself, Caesars has a great location and great rooms. You could not pay me to stay downtown or even some strip properties for that matter. If you don't like the treatment move on. That is how I left MGM and came to CP. In time if they want you they will try to get you, hence ARIA has come a calling to me and I liek that property and what they will offer.

As to double bookings, if you play enough to get future comps at both properties, I would say there is no harm. If you show up get yoru offer and leave, do not expect anything in the future, rightfully so if you ask me.

In closing MoneyGuy, were those meetings with Adelson in the west coast or in his Rolls Royce with the initiale plate in Brookline, Mass.

tomdoug is a troll. Almost every post he's made has been a personal attack. He mostly stalks pokerwayne, but it looks like he's expanding his repertoire. Ever since his third post another LVA member and I have been speculating on his true identity.

drmilled dared me to meet him in Las Vegas on a specific date. We came to an amicable settlement of our differences though. We agreed that we can both be asses at times. At least we're not trolls.
